I need to get a handle on my family's spending so I have started looking at software to help with budgeting and tracking spending. The 2 that I am looking at: Mint is web based and looks like it might be OK. YNAB You Need a Budget is a software program that looks good as well. Anyone have experience with either of these? Any other recommendations?

I don’t know what’s wrong with these people, it’s like they are smoking crack whilst making deliveries or something. Last week I ordered a few Filco keyboards off of Amazon. I had one to be delivered to my office, one to be delivered to my home. Ontrac batted 0 for 2, it’s like a bad joke. Guess I just have the worst luck/bad effin week. all of my geekier Internet savvy friends adore it, and the newer comics consistently make the digg front page. I've sat for hours at work sifting through their archives, and nary a chuckle escapes my lips. so I gave up on it.

Just in case anybody was watching.... We're all pretty happy around here today that my friend and former colleague Getty photographer Joe Raedle, AFP photographer Roberto Schmidt, and AFP reporter Dave Clark were released unharmed today after being captured by Libyan forces on Friday. Considering what a nasty place Libya has turned out to be (50-some attacks on journalists and a couple of fatalities in just a couple of weeks) and the circumstances of of Joe's going missing, which weren't auspicious, we were sweating it big time.
