I thought I would be smart and pick up a cheap dvd burner for my asus I have a usb - ide (pata/sata) cable which works perfectly for any drive I have tried it on but for some reason I can't get the dvd to work. The burner is a samsung SH-S222L lightscribe and is supposed to be PATA/IDE . I set it to slave but have tried all other options when that failed. any help appreciated..dB

Hey, I sort of got donated a hp pavillion flat panel (actually I had to buy the AC adapter, but still not bad). I want to use this as a tv in my bedroom @ parents house... I have a pair of two year old, Sennheiser HD650's with the usual flaking enamel around the headband. There is also a piece of enamel that's flaked off on the back side of the ear cup joint. Pricing this is pretty easy. Here's the part I need help with. It will also come with a 1.2 meter Zu Mobius cable terminated in a mini. Sick I know but I just wanted to see if I liked the mobius sound and at the time my only amp was the SR-71. The mobius came up rather cheap and I decided to buy it. I will also be shipping it with the original cable, mini < 1/4 adapter and original box. I even put a fancy latch on the box for transport. How the hell should I price these?

So a friend of mine is trying to track down a painter. I tried doing an image search, but all I'm getting is a bunch of "oil painting with glare" type images, for obvious reasons. Anyone know how to get rid of the glare? Or perhaps they just know who the painter is.

Some guy on Reddit is in a Korean hotel and is getting speeds like this: Pretty astounding to most Americans (and sufficient to make Canadian users cry in their Molson). Of course, a few institutional users came out of the woodwork and began posting speeds with several hundred megabits in each direction.
