  1. Got ready to tow my parents trailer to Cape Cod tomorrow. I'm a little nervous since I've never towed anything, let along a 26 foot camper! But I'm sure it will be fine so long as I take it slow and easy. Wish me luck! I can't wait for my yearly lobster dinner. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  2. Sell those 507 and get a wonderful pair of 207. Then sell the 727 and get a 252. It will sound way better. More expensive doesn't mean better most of the times.

  6. Kevin, is that your answering machine in the bottom right of the pic? Regarding the caliper, the only thing I would say is to consider 8" instead of 6", unless you are absolutely sure you will never need the extra length. I bought a 6" a while back and on a number of occasions really wish I had sprung for the 8".

  7. AcquiredTaste, welcome to head-case! Rest assured, no need to "acquire the taste" of this place hahahahahahahaha HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH YEAH WELCOME! OmerYair welcome good sir or ma'am! The wonders of head-case lay before you. Delve deep and ye shall go deep. stewing, welcome to head-case! Apparently we are more of a sous vide place rather than a stew place. I myself am not really sure what sous vide is but I think it has something to do with boiling meat in ziploc bags. I can't say this excites me but good warning, there are some weirdos here, the kind of people who boil meat in bags and think they are fancy because the method has a french name or whatever. To all of you: each journey begins with a single rain drop on the path to enlightenment/headphones/boiled meat/and apparently whiskey.

  8. Start > Control Panel > User Accounts. See what it is logged into and if that is the account he normally uses. Could well be a corrupted profile. The below link will potentially help you fix it if is in fact the issue - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/fix-corrupted-user-profile#1TC=windows-7

  25. I did it, I did it! Oh, and my particular venue (Canal Club in Richmond, VA, in case you want to follow along at home) is general admission, so best possible position will be obtained the night of the performance, assuming I don't forget. (I totally spaced on Calexico, after I purchased tickets.) A friend of mine made me get this (because it's such a crazy good value) -- is that the same second disk?

  26. What? No, I knew, not your fault at all, and tickets aren't sold out. I know exactly what happened: my fucking addled brain can't handle getting up from the chair to get my credit card info without forgetting by the time I get back. the farthest I've gotten is putting my wallet in front of my computer, then gone off to bed. By the time I got up the next morning, I had forgotten why the wallet was there, and not in my pocket. It's happened like 4 times so far -- JUST WITH THIS CONCERT. Okay, I'm going to post this, get up, get my wallet, and come back, so if I don't post a follow up that I actually purchased the ticket in a couple minutes...well, that's #5 then, innit? EDIT: Purchased, thanks for the prompt! EDIT #2: In the Nursery is something else entirely, try before you buy, I'm not at all promising you'll like it, it's a completely different genre of music EDIT #3: Just finished Chilly Gonzalez, Chambers, now starting Goldfrapp and friends, soundtrack to My Summer of Love.

  27. I did it myself . This works for the Gen 6 and Gen5.5 aka ipod video This is similar to the one I used, can't find the exact one as it was 2.5 years ago. Just be sure the seller includes the ZIF cable, the original ipod ZIF cable is too short. http://www.microsatacables.com/msata-ssd-to-40-pin-zif-adapter-card-as-toshiba-or-hitachi-zif-hdd I am currently using the Samsung 840 msata http://www.samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/minisite/SSD/global/html/ssd840evo/overview_mSATA.html Iphone opening tools https://www.ifixit.com/Store/Tools/Plastic-Opening-Tools/IF145-000

  28. How is spending too much money contrary to selling it? That makes no sense. You want to put more money into it? Makes even less sense. Sell it. Don't expect to get what you put into it, total, but get what you can and cut your losses

  29. I have the 6th gen ipod classic, removed the mechanical HDD and replaced it with a 250GB flash msata drive, upgrading it to a 500GB unit in the next couple of months as it is starting to fill. The msata to ZIF interface bridge board is the key to the whole thing and it fits nicely in the space vacated by the HDD. This setup is capable of supporting 2TB flash cards, in theory. This is talked about at great length at the other site.

  30. I once was asked (insisted) by my sister-in-law for ideas for my birthday or the holidays, forget which. I asked for this very CD, which I had on LP but was not in great condition. Her wide-eyed reaction was "You REALLY want me to go into a store and ask for 'Throbbing Gristle....?!' "

  31. Update after two weeks: She's bossy, determined, super smart, and very sweet when she's not trying to rule the universe. She's hard to take a picture of because she's so dark and a wiggle monster. Tried my best to get a couple shots of her now. This is the best I can do. Her coat is already starting to lighten, and Havanese are known to even go from dark chocolate to nearly white and sometimes back again, though most fade to a mocha. She's what they call a tobacco color, a rich brown with reddish tones, but I don't think it will last. She's also a fatty girl. Both her parents are under 13 pounds. They say to double the weight at four months for a fairly accurate estimate of adult weight. She's 7.2 pounds at 14 weeks. She's very food obsessed, unlike Watson, and I have to watch her every move or she'll eat everyone's food and scrounge for more. Watson and Ivan adapted pretty much instantly to her, so I got lucky that way. She's also been completely non-reactive to thunder and fireworks, which are still going off in the neighborhood at night (lordy). I am bringing in a trainer, though, for Watson because he's suddenly decided to be that asshole dog on the leash when we're out with her. He's aggressive with any other dogs, except his two buddies in the 'hood, and is starting to be so with people, which he never was before. If I can just get her housebroken sooner rather than later, it's all good. That's about it for now.

  32. No worries! I suspect I am alone on a lot of things, and I am alright with that. Did you ever listen to In the Nursery's Hindle Wakes -- that one just puzzles me. I have no idea what is that appeals to me so much about that album, but it just stands out in a multiple decades long career of two brothers as far and away their best album.
