  1. This is our first full year, legally, as the Atlanta Audio Club, and once again we are honoring our commitment to support Southeastern Region headphone enthusiasts. We can’t do another CanLanta type event as it is just too much for our club to produce each year. (NOTE: We own the Canlanta.org URL. If an interested entity with the manpower and money to make another CanLanta event happen here were to step forward, we would make that URL available to them!) We WILL do our annual meet on MAY 5th at the Dunwoody North Driving Club where we met last year. Same location, same time... 12N to 5PM. As usual we'll provide space, tables, power, and refreshments! You provide the equipment and extension cords/power strips you need. For more information, see the Event Page on our website . Click Here This year, our co-sponsor for this event will be those builders of fantastic headphone amplifiers, HeadAmp Audio Electronics! We are sure you’ll be able to see, and hear, their latest and greatest at this meet! Everyone is welcome, whether you're from the industry or an enthusiast. We'll find room for everyone to show off your "stuff". If you didn't make it last year, here's another chance!! This meet is open to all, from beginners to veterans of the headphone wars! We guarantee there will be something of interest for everyone. Just getting started?? Here’s your chance to see lots of set-ups in one location and talk to the experts about your passion! Watch this forum to see who is planning on attending! John John Morrison, President, Founding Member Atlanta Audio Club Direct: 770-330-3919 mailto:[email protected] http://www.atlantaaudioclub.org
  2. With R1 and R3 at 270R you get 4 mA through each current source plus 0.5 mA LED current. Put a resistor of 20K/2W between +400V and +220V pad on the amplifier board - gives approximately 224V. Someone try this and give a report? I’m on a Ski holiday.
  3. She's about as self-made as her dad's vagina.
  4. I will try to attend if I’m able. Purk you have me itching to hear the gxs and or gsx mini with a good dac compared to the Sony ES

I’ve had some good time with these, together with a REL t7i sub. I’m digging them lots. Anybody else?

The case on the sky dweller is really nice too, it has a lot of their old sub and gmt, pre super case but in a larger size. Maybe some super case influence there too. The case of the yacht master ii is the same sort of shape. It's my favorite modem Rolex case design.

What amp are you using to drive the speakers?

OK...another watch bonding session at the office today. This time....Rolex Sky-Dweller in stainless with the white gold fluted bezel and white face. I have to admit I did not appreciate the full complexity of the 9001 movement / watch. Dual time zones I got. The annual calendar that takes into account various days in given months I did not appreciate...uninformed as I never studied the watch previously...it's too large including height/tall for me. The way the rotating bezel functions is nifty. A beautiful watch albeit too big for my taste/wrist. HS
  10. Have some from PCBNet, 1.6mm and 3oz. Anyone who wants to build the Transconductance amp and post a few pics here, can have a set or two. Promise to show a few pics of the build here, and I'll cover the shipping as well ?

  12. I've discussed this topic with JoaMat early on. His advise is that the +220VDC be supplied by its own regulator instead of using a drop resistor from the B+. The top device, HN4A51J, is a dual transistor chip and need to be careful not to overheat it. The draw on the +220VDC rail should be around 20-30mA both channels combined.

"HOLY SHIT!" retracted. Oris Thelonious Monk, today. It really is an excellent watch, though I don't wear it that much.
  14. Made a couple of big decisions today. I'm not running for president in 2020. And I'll marry Kylie Jenner if she insists.
  15. Venison and Wild Boar Capelacci with hunter cream Marsala sauce
  16. I'm sitting in the jury assembly room watching a video to teach me about the US justice system and jury trials. Interesting stuff.
  17. Mmm, English health food.
  18. “Aziz! More light!” No more.
  19. Squeezed this amp into a small Modushop case. Tight fit for the caps, but it works. Doesn't get particularly warm. An interesting alternative for planars.
  20. Thanks John. Hoping for another great meet! I will be attending as usual. Headamp will also be there!
