  1. Wine tasting. Oh Romeo oh Romeo...
  2. Roast beef with yorkshire pudding, cauliflower, taters and rocket. Plus a cool strudel with figs and cheese and stuff in it (not pictured). Split moitié-moitié (still thinking in French)
  3. Black truffle gnocchi washed down with multiple bottles of Frangiacort
  4. Oh wow. For some reason Blade Runner (so much better than Philip K Dick's book "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep on which it was based) seems so damned recent - but it was 1982, when Hauer was 38 and Harrison Ford was 40. Such an iconic movie. I shall watch The Director's Cut tomorrow to honour Hauer's passing. Damn. 75 is too damned early to go. RIP Rutger. Odd fact - the director was Ridley Scott, who was born and brought up not far from where I was born and brought up in the North East of England. The heavy industrial landscape with flames belching from chemical and steel works lighting the night sky when he was a child found their way into the opening sequence of Blade Runner.
  5. At Cabo San Lucas. Picture is of lands end, the name is literal. That is where the Baja peninsula ends and the sea of Cortez meets the pacific ocean. Getting away from those areas is a must though. The other best thing besides the ocean. El pastor.
  6. Thank you very much! It was a nice one. Nothing really extraordinary on the celebration side, just a 10 courses fancy meal with the wife, but lots of friends and family sending messages and making phone calls. Some whiskey was consumed with friends. The sad part is that the previous night my uncle Manolo died at 85. He lived an unusual life. Godspeed!

I basically only buy close-outs. Last year's fabrics ain't that different from this year's, but sure are a lot cheaper!

Great info, ER! I do own a pair of HF slacks...loved the material and the cut. A bit pricey but I've been pleased with them all around. I'll see if I can register for SaksOff5th...I'm subscribed to their normal site and the prices are a bit stiff. Brooks and NM also. I was a bit more fashion savvy pre-kids. Oh well...LOL. HS
