Last night's show is up: Last, ahem, Saturday's show is also up: Also, I spent some time tonight monkeying with my new MOTU audio interface and Reddit's PAN livestreaming service. I'm toying with the idea of doing a short broadcast tomorrow evening.2 points

Godspeed, Ms. Mae.... On behalf of my family, Al, please accept our sincere condolences. Tough to wrap one's head around how much a part of the family a pet becomes. Sam1 point

Agreed. I've been watching this, and find it of interest. I'm normally not much of a horror fan, but I'm liking this. My wife and I have the same problem of not liking the same shows. She's more into comedy (Big Bang Theory, etc.) and finds most of what I like way too dark. We watched the first 3 episodes last night. I probably like it more than she does, but she seemed to enjoy it. We'll see if she'll continue watching it or not.1 point

Yeah I was impressed that they took it from a one-note joke (American rah-rah vs. British cynicism) and fleshed it out into an involving narrative with a bunch of complex and sympathetic characters. Everyone in our family is totally into it, adults and teens alike.1 point

"Ted Lasso" is actually really good, even if you don't follow either kind of football.1 point

Thanks Steve and Suzy. To make sure the permanent record is correct: Mae Eloise Bedecarre Ernst, March 29, 2008 to September 2, 2020. A wonderful and gentle companion who will be dearly missed. Good girl, Mae. Fuck 2020. And fuck cancer.1 point

Karen and I finished the Netflix series (through Season 2) of In The Dark. There's not a lot we like to watch together, and this was out there in several ways, but captivated us.....1 point

Genetics are not destiny. My Dad was a hardworking, thrifty and abstemious man and my Mom was a pillar of the Catholic church. QED.1 point

Just got Suzy's DNA results. She is 0% Jack Russel. However she is between 37-74% Parsons Russell. I tend to think it's closer to 74%, as she looks exactly like many of the photos. She's also between 10-20% Border Collie and between 10-20% Bulldog. Who knew? She's a Border Bull Russell.1 point

Been playing through Control now that it's available on Steam, and beat the base game tonight. Damn what a lot of fun that was. Amazing atmosphere, great story and characters, and unbelievably fun combat that gives you a lot of options for any situation. Typically with a game like this I'd find one gun, and maybe one special ability that I like the most, and then only use those ever. Not this time, I gave all the paranatural abilities a healthy amount of use. Things you can do beyond the typical rooty tooty point and shooty include but are not limited to: Telekinetically picking up anything not nailed down (that includes vending machines, tables, incoming explosives, and even corpses) and introducing it at high speed to the face of any poor soul you have a clear line of sight to. Taking control of weakened enemies' minds to fight for you and serve as brief distractions. Gathering up debris to use as a floating shield to stop incoming fire, and then go on the offensive with it and use it to dash through any nearby enemies, flattening most weaker ones in the process. And my personal favorite, leisurely floating high above most of your enemies, slowly drifting across the room as you rain hell down on them with your weapon or large object of choice (maniacal laughter optional). These sorts of mechanics have been done before, but here they combine so well and they made the controls for them actually work fluidly. Highly recommended, doubly so if you like weird stories about paranormal events, because there's weird shit galore in this place.1 point

Wife tried to get sympathy from the kids by saying "daddy made me go to the gym with him, isn't he mean to mommy" Girl #1 response "but mommy can I tell you something? You need to get stronger" In the parenting competition with the wife I'm pulling a big lead..1 point

My first post on Head-Case ... I'm an avid user of the GL2 and any add-on improvements would be welcome. ... Justin did post a photo of an initial design circuit board of the new power-supply on another forum, so I think things are moving along.1 point

I read this on planetf1.com It just so spot on, I couldn't stop laughing. "If there is one positive for the Scuderia heading into the Italian Grand Prix next week, it’s that there will be no tifosi in the stands to witness what looks like being another humiliation." I really do feel bad for the drivers, sucks when the engine is ripped from under you by regulations and the development of the chassis went in the wrong direction.0 points
