How much is a gallon of 93 down there? I paid$56.15 @$3.93 here in NYC and I still had close to a 1/4 tank!

My neighborhood tends to be high, but then driving 10 miles to where it's cheaper sort of defeats the purpose. Lately, it's been running between $3.49 and $3.62 (the highest I've seen locally).

in Los Angeles it's easily averaging over $4 a gallon. highest i've seen is $4.20, but most are charging around $4.09. next fill up i am costco bound where it's slightly under $4 or the chevron station on jefferson that charges the same.

i also need to stop driving like a race car driver... :police:

Ouch! When I first moved here from Manhattan I rode a bike until I could find a decent car for a price I was willing to pay. I was in much better shape then. Maybe I start that up again.

as of 7/2008 California had the highest gasoline tax in the nation and likely still does. i hate having to think about it.

It's bad, it's nationwide. At the start of last week gas was just barely over $3 here, it's now over $3.40. Personally I think we're about at critical mass when it comes to gas prices so the next 6 months should be, uh, interesting...

$3.5 to $3.6/gal for regular over here. My god.....we will crack $4/gal here soon.

CT baby. I haven't filled up in a week and a half or so, but it was about 3.85 at that time, IIRC.

While I miss my Grand Cherokee, it's times like these where I don't miss the HO V8 that was getting between 12 & 14 mpg. The vee-dub may piss me off, but 20s around town pushing 30 on the highway and only filling up once a week is very, very nice.

So far they haven't asked me to chip in to fill up the bus I take to work :) Let's hope it stays that way. It's nice traveling to work in free public transit.

My sister lives in San Francisco, which is reported locally (DC area) as having the highest average for a city in the nation.

Yeah but the beauty of that city is that you don't need a car.

holy caps batman!

Looks like enough for one channel or so .... of a balanced amp. need to scrounge the couch cushions for change to buy caps for the other 3 channels.

You have no intentions of building an amp! That's just your stash of Audio porn that you pull out when the misses is elsewhere.

And it works too, I'm tentin' just lookin' at 'em. :-[:o>:D

The bad thing is if you have a car, there's no place to park it.

Time to start thinking about a Prius ;)

Man, I wish I had that option. At least now that it's getting warm around here, I'm getting close to or over 40 mpg with my Civic.

If I end up moving close enough to my work, I'm going to seriously consider biking to work, weather permitting.

Speaking of scotch, I saw Japanese scotch (Suntory Yamazaki) at a local liquor store yesterday. 18yo was bit over $100, but 12yo was more affordable at ~$40. I'm thinking of giving it a try soon.

I just sent my K1000 to get some modifications & recable by Jena Labs. :prettyprincess:

Did you ask for the "special" driver treatments?

Cool! When they don't work because they completely f-ed up the recable at least you can use them to pull your car out of the ditch on those wild Saturday nights. :police:
