I just bought back my old PPA v2 with the zebrawood case.

I had been plotting a β22, but realized it wasn't in the budget. So when my old amp popped up locally, I decided to snatch it up.

I always remembered it as a poor match with my Grados, but I'll be damned, it sounds fan-fucking-tastic with my HF-1s. Detailed, controlled, no harshness and great imaging. It's a nice companion to the Millett.

Philips/Mullard 7062 PW X 3. These really elevate the performance on my Exemplar Denon 2900. Pretty amazing sounding unit that quite a bit better than several CD players and DAC I've tried.

[1] Sheet of 3/4" Cherry veneer plywood ($125)

[14] board feet of Cherry ($75)

= time for a new entertainment center.

;D

$125 for a 4x8' sheet of 3/4" ply? OUCH. I'm glad I get lumber for free.

Paid for my Pico today so hopefully it's on the way soon :)

uh oh...tkam's coming back into the world of headphones.... ;D

Well, you can pay $50 for shit veneer plywood if you want but this is about building something nice. And sure, free lumber is great if you can get it but the equivalent 32 board feet of Cherry would have cost ~$400 and taken 5x as much time to laminate together. This way I can get this piece built in a couple weekends.

A bunch of clothes from Macy's. Sales are great.

iPod Touch, Airport Express, and Signal webapp.

Can you guess what they're for?

PS this was typed on the iPod :)

I am still mad about the steak sandwich I got from Quiznos that was somehow 9 bucks. For that much I could get one twice as large, a drink, and fries at Hoagie Haven, the local amazing hoagie place. -.-

To take over the world?

Hirsch once got one that was $11. Once. I don't think he's ever been back.

Maybe if they had prices that were actually visible...

I just bought a Canon MX700 printer/copier/scanner today.

Let me know how you like that as I am thinking of buying the same one...

Upgrade for 3 vinyl rips, to be done by a studio engineer who has CEDAR and other multi thousand dollar equipment/software. Takes the clicks + pops out w/out sacraficing audio quality.

Mucho dinero, porque grande trabajo.
