Landed a barnacle-encrusted traffic barricade and a car tire in the canoe. It was big game time. Then spent Sunday celebrating wife's Birthday. Now I need a couple days of to recover from my weekend. veloaudio Posted March 9, 2010 Report Share Posted March 9, 2010 If we were looking to stay in our house for a while I would have gone with one of these: A. O. Smith Water Heaters I ended up installing a standard State (A.O. Smith rebranded) gas tank. ~82% efficiency. Cheaper than a tankless, about the same efficiency (maybe slightly lower) but we don't have a very high demand/throughput for hot water and would probably have not offset the cost savings in our current house.
