March 20, 201115 yr Speaking of mathy post-rock and beastly drummers, the biggest band still playing the game, Battles, seem to have given it up. Their new song is a whole other thing. March 20, 201115 yr Reks, I dig that Chucho Valdez Cd, how does it sound on your system? Do you get all of that bass detail? On my headphone system and speakers this CD seems to have pretty good dynamics and realism.
March 22, 201115 yr Van der Graaf Generator - A Grounding in Numbers Listening to random songs from this album to get an idea of what they sound like nowadays. Interesting compositions and a new sound for VdGG. I think I am going to have to buy the last 3 albums on CD in the next month or so, I for some reason was putting it a way for some time now, yet all new albums are very solid.

March 23, 201115 yr Boris - New Album Inoxia records vinyl I fucking love this band. Who else can go from making a jpop album to releasing a mega heavy drone album with Merzbow in the same year. Boris. Also Inoxia based out of Japan shipped me both vinyl albums in the midst of their earthquake/tsunami crisis. Insane
