May 4, 201115 yr Good luck!!! Thanks? I guess there is a bit of luck involved with how long it takes but otherwise it's just a matter of waiting and studying some basic civics.
May 4, 201115 yr It wasnt meant to be sarcastic. Sorry. From what I hear its an agonizing process though.
May 4, 201115 yr Our entire families' paperwork was meticulously done by my mom. She said if you spend time with the paperwork you will save time later. The test itself is cake. I looked over the book on thd way to the test. You should have no trouble chris. That said good luck.
May 4, 201115 yr I had my lawyer (wife) look over the paperwork before I sent it out. She only found 6 or 7 errors
May 4, 201115 yr Got an appointment for a new tattoo at 4pm today. I wonder what the artist came up with for the idea I gave him. Hope I like it or else I'll have to wait another 6 months.
May 4, 201115 yr I had my lawyer (wife) look over the paperwork before I sent it out. She only found 6 or 7 errors Dude how can one misspell "Chris" 6 or 7 times I forgot of your connections to those in the legal profession.
May 4, 201115 yr Sent in my application for US Citizenship Hope it works out well for you! Where are you from originally?
May 4, 201115 yr Sent in my application for US Citizenship Awesome! My parents immigrated from the Philippines and became citizens in the mid 1970's. I still remember attending their swearing in as a kid (or whatever it's called when they were finally accepted and went to court). It was a pretty long process even then, and I heard it's even tougher now. But I think it usually goes through if you just jump through all the hoops. Edited May 4, 201115 yr by jvlgato
May 5, 201115 yr Hope it works out well for you! Where are you from originally? Barbados is where I grew up and consider home. I was born in Grenada but we moved to Barbados when I was 6 months old. Now I'm a Canadian citizen as well and the USCIS generally smiles on them so I'm applying as a Canadian.
May 5, 201115 yr Holy shit is the Shpongletron awesome. Dusty, I hope you went. Photos forthcoming later. Right now I am tiiiiiiired.
May 5, 201115 yr Filled my bike hut (I'm going to post pictures before Steve jumps in with a joke): Edited May 5, 201115 yr by Dreadhead
May 5, 201115 yr No good jokes springing forth sadly, nice hut though. I was really into road bikes in my early twenties. Campagnolo was king then. Good luck on the test! Funny thing is that most taking the test fare far batter than those born in the U.S. today. The average knowledge of U.S. history is crap today, as well as most other subjects our kids are not required to learn anymore.
May 5, 201115 yr Just want to state that I don't feel that's at all reflective of our teachers. It has a lot more to do with budget cuts, and todays schoolboard ideaology of 'Shovel 'em through and let someone else worry about it'.
May 5, 201115 yr It doesn't help that teachers are increasingly forced to be teaching things that the parents should be teaching......
May 5, 201115 yr Or the fact that some schools in the US teach creationism on the same level as evolution.
May 5, 201115 yr Like how to fucking add fractions in a calculus course. Learn that shit in 2nd grade you dumasses
May 5, 201115 yr Yep. In the US, I think you have to be close to my age to remember when LCD meant something different than it does today.
