April 18, 201214 yr Jacob, glad to hear it was not a stroke. Maybe you're not as immune to bed bugs as you thought. http://www.medicinenet.com/bed_bugs/page2.htm http://www.medicinenet.com/chagas_disease/article.htm
April 18, 201214 yr Oh man. Jacob, I hope you can do whatever it takes including switching medication, etc to avoid that happening again. Glad it wasn't a stroke and that you were able to manage to ER.
April 18, 201214 yr Good to hear that it wasn't a stroke, reks! That's some scary stuff. This! /\ /\ /\ /\ Take care of yourself man!
April 18, 201214 yr ...it was probably just brain worms, as i had visited Ceti Alpha V, recently. Is this how it felt?
April 20, 201214 yr Wow, scary stuff. Glad you're ok, Jacob! Weird migraines are really tough to figure out. They sometimes end up in my office after another doc just kind of gives up and figures it's psychiatric. Then I scratch my head a bit, decide that it's not psychiatric, and send them on to a headache specialist. Good luck with that, hope it doesn't happen again. This. Thank heavens Jacob is OK. Bonnie landed in the ER once under very similar circumstances. It was real scary. When all the diagnostic dust had settled days later it turned out to be an unusual migraine, much like Jacob's. The good news is that it was her first and there hasn't been a recurrence in several years. The bad news is that the ER doc doc thought it was street drugs, was semi belligerent, and threatened to Baker Act her. Hopefully, that clown will never hold my life or that of anybody I care about in his hands. The hospital where this occurred closed. I have no idea what happened to him. Hopefully nothing good.
April 20, 201214 yr Xwhatevernumberwe'reupto. Jacob, glad you're feeling better. Today, I got off work on time. This is perhaps the first time in many months I've made it out on a Friday at 5. I feel like a kid playing hooky from school.
April 20, 201214 yr Drove home my in-laws place after visiting friends in Buffalo for few days and then the in-laws yesterday. Stopping at the in-laws yesterday on the way back from Buffalo was a good choice as we only had to do 2.5 hour drive as opposed to all 7.5 yesterday. We had fun and it was nice to see everyone, but it is also nice to be finally home after being away for few days. Of course, coming home to an empty fridge was less fun, but a quick call to a Chinese place took care of that for tonight. Edited April 20, 201214 yr by Salt Peanuts
April 21, 201214 yr Thought I had my car all up an running again yesterday, went around and did some nice pulls on the straight roads and trekked around the windy, hilly backroads as the sun was setting, only for the water pump & power steering pump belt tensioner to break off on the way back. That was a long and difficult journey home (frequent stops to prevent overheating, can barely take any turns, got a good workout though). Replaced the tensioner today with a junkyard one which I hope lasts some amount of time (bearings are slightly noisy on it, but it turns smooth).

Man, I'm sorry you're having such bad luck with your car.
April 21, 201214 yr I was about to go to sleep at 1:30am when I found out about Record Store Day. I looked at stuff for an hour, then set the alarm for way too early. Got there an hour before, 6th in line, and came out with a couple really big CDs. They will work on a laser disc player, right? **BRENT**

April 21, 201214 yr Was supposed to take a bike handling class, but due to impending rain, went inside and took a class on a Computrainer. It kicked my ass. I just signed up for a six-week power training class. If I survive it, it should be good. The place, Doghouse Cycling, is small and people are pretty cool. http://www.doghousecycling.com/
April 21, 201214 yr Cool Vicki I have a computrainer shed in the backyard for the rainy days. I got in a short 90min ride outside this morning but I felt like crap the whole time. I can't wait for this cold to go away. Edited April 21, 201214 yr by Dreadhead
April 21, 201214 yr Cool, Jim! Chris, I know I'm out of shape, but didn't think I was that out of shape. We did two different programs, the first was a seven-mile steady hill as a warm up. There were two other guys in the group with me. i was so far behind, they couldn't wait for me to finish the course because they needed to start another. It was a six-mile something-or-another used for time trial training. I also didnt' finish before they started up with another one. I didn't do that one. I was toast.

Well on computrainer rides it's important to get your weight accurate and the load calibration right or you can get a lot of unfair advantage. That said it's just a part of the sport coming to accept how much faster many people are. I find it is part of the fun to get beat down.
