Not sure what hotel it is going to be held at yet but the date is firm and it will be held near SFO (between the towns of San MAteo and Burlingame most likely). Hope to see you there, we'll probably do something either after or the night before in San Francisco as well.

Head-Fi/Can Jam @ Rocky Mountain Audio Fest 2009 (CJ@RMAF 2009): It's Official! - Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio Awesome news! As if I weren't already excited enough about this year's RMAF, a huge Head-Fi meet to go with it at the same time!!! Hey jp, if there's anything I can do to help out, let me know. And for the uninitiated: http://www.audiofest.net (Oct 2-4 @ Marriott Denver Tech Center & Hilton Garden Inn)

  4. Started by Asr,

Ok so here's the deal: with 3 months' advance notice for this thing, I'm expecting some more HC-ers to show up this year. There was a paltry handful last year (but it was certainly a fine group, no complaints there) and I'm sure more can show up this time! Who can be in? It'll be headphones + speakers! JP will be there, and probably Tyll too I'll bet, along with inevitably Jude and the rest of the usual HF folks too. Here's what I'll offer for anyone who travels in: - car service to/from DIA as my schedule permits (since the hotel is too far from the airport to have a free shuttle) - a round of beer on me at whatever fine establishment we end up going to each nig…

  5. Started by Asr,

Looks like it'll be a great year for audio shows in California! THE Show - June 3-5: http://www.theshownewport.com/2011n/mainpage.php in Newport Beach @ Hilton Orange County Airport CA Audio Show - July 15-17: http://www.caaudioshow.com/ in Burlingame @ Crowne Plaza SFO Already have my flight booked for the CA Audio Show in NorCal. Would have liked to go to the THE show too but the timing is bad for me on that one. Hope to run into some HC-ers either way, I'll most likely be there only on the Saturday 7/16 though (small chance I might also be there on Sunday 7/17).

  6. Started by Aimless1,

I'm never quite sure why I do this, but I'm hosting another HF style meet on 2/26/11 in Grandville, MI. Hope to see some of you there.

For those of you who follow the other site, any reason I should spend a summer Saturday at Jude' s office or is there anyone worth meeting?

  8. Started by Cee Tee,

Would like to cordially invite HC to attend a Bay Area Meet at the Burlingame DoubleTree on 2-11-12. Have been hoping to meet more of you and would be happy if you found some things worth coming out for...

  9. Started by ironbut,

Just thought I'd give you So Cal folks a heads up. This year the Audio Engineering Society's big US convention is happening at the LA Convention Center. If you move fast (the deadline is tomorrow) you can still register for an exhibit hall pass for free. I'm not sure how much they'll charge at the event but it's usually not very much. Anyway, even though there won't be much in the way of headphones and headphone gear, if you'd like to see how the other half lives and the kinda stuff we like to drool over, check it out. Also, if you're in the market for a nice pair of studio monitors, this is the event for you (although considering the typical show conditions, Vintage…

  10. Our usual date (last Saturday in July -- 10 a.m. to way past dinner), at the usual place: Ramada Inn & Conference Center I figure all the Jersey Boys know about this already, but what the hell. We let New Yawkers in as long as they've had their shots. Big room this year -- the hotel doubled the friggen' fee, so buy stuff at the auction (or buy raffle tickets, whichever we end up doing). Hey, my wife left her D2000s (Lawton 2000s, full markl plus wood) by the computer, so I'm listening to them as I type this. I forgot how good they are. Mark L. is a genius! Looks great too -- I mean the headphones, I have no idea how Mr. Lawton looks. Back to…

  11. Started by tjkurita,

I am moving to Cooperstown, New York at the end of May, 2013. My girlfriend will be the only one I know. Any Head-Casers up in that area? Otsego County, Herkimer (sp?), middle of nowhere, New York State? Let's get a couple of micro meets every now and again. Also, we can car-pool to the NYC meet in the fall (we will rent an Audi R8 from Hertz; there's enough space for a portable rig).

  12. Started by Fitz,

Since Colin has been gracious enough to let me crash at his place, I'll be in the NYC area from the 7th to the 12th for a couple concerts (7th and 10th). If any NYC area HCers are gonna be free and want to meet up for drinks or food or whatever, let me know and we'll make it happen.

  13. Summer Atlanta Meet - July 5, 2008 (Loganville, GA) - Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio I'm going to try to go if the wife feels up to keeping the kids. Coming from the greater chattavegas area. If anyone is on the way, and I can go, we could carpool or something. Otherwise its a few hours at speeds grossly exceeding the speed limit for me. Just a heads up for those who may have missed it. **BRENT**

Well, I see Tyll is, based on this blurb from Stereophile- HeadRoom's Headphone Heaven Tired of reading about the best in headphone technology and not being able to try them out? Take a test ride with HeadRoom headphones costing from $10 to $500, and hear how to make your computers music, iPods and mobile gear give their best performance ever. Anyone else reporting for duty?

I just thought I'd pass along info about a meet happening in my area that's coming up pretty soon, in case anyone on here didn't know about it and is itching to try some gear and meet some people. I'm still not 100% sure I can make it but I'm pretty sure I can. 18. We may have changed the club name to the Atlanta Audio Club, but our commitment to support Southeastern region headphone enthusiasts is still the same. While we can't do another CanLanta event, we will do a meet at the Dunwoody Driving Club where we met last year. Same location, same time... 12N to 5PM. As usual we'll provide space, tables, power, and refreshments! We invite all who have participated in the past to show us your latest and greatest whether you're from the industry or an enthusiast. We'll find room for everyone to show off your "stuff". If you didn't make it last year, here's another chance!! This meet is open to all, and everyone is welcome, from…

  19. Hey guys, I've been contacted by the President of the Audio-Video Club of Atlanta seeking area "Can Heads" to get involved with the show, which is April 14-17, 2011. Fitz, tomb, Tom_Hankins, Purk... You guys get in touch with me if interested and I'll let you know who to talk to to find out more. Is there anyone else around who may be interested? Trav? http://www.axpona.com/ I hope to find out soon if maybe there would be some need/desire for some MOTs there as well. If anyone knows of a HF'er who's local who isn't on HC, let me know that as well, thanks. **BRENT**

  22. This is our first full year, legally, as the Atlanta Audio Club, and once again we are honoring our commitment to support Southeastern Region headphone enthusiasts. We can’t do another CanLanta type event as it is just too much for our club to produce each year. (NOTE: We own the Canlanta.org URL. If an interested entity with the manpower and money to make another CanLanta event happen here were to step forward, we would make that URL available to them!) We WILL do our annual meet on MAY 5th at the Dunwoody North Driving Club where we met last year. Same location, same time... 12N to 5PM. As usual we'll provide space, tables, power, and refreshments! 23. Atlanta Computer Audio Event, Sun June 28, need help! - Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio Tyll is a busy guy so I figured I'd post this for him here. Maybe a few of you from the dirty South can attend?

  24. Started by TomB,

The Audio-Video Club of Atlanta is proposing a headphone meet on Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 12 to 5 PM. The proposed location is at the Dunwoody North Driving Club, north of Atlanta. Detailed directions will be provided later in this post. Local retailers and popular manufacturers will be invited and all headphone enthusiasts are encouraged to attend. This is a no-charge event.

  25. Started by ingwe,

I realize we're getting close to can-jam; but several locals not attending the big meet wanted this (the last one was held July 5, '08 ). This one will be somewhat closer to city then last couple meets. Trav got us a very nice deal on a big room; he paid out of his pocket. I've talked to him several times over the phone and he seems okay. Head-Fi Thread What: Atlanta Head-Fi Meet When: Saturday, April 25, 2009 Time: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM ET Where: Atlanta Marriott Century Center 2000 Century Boulevard NE Atlanta, GA 30345 (404) 325-0000
