  4. Finally got off my back side and populated some pcb's. Waiting for a transformer from Toroidy.pl so to test the GB HV i hooked it up to one that is powering another amp, it outputs 2 x 330v @150ma. The one i have on order is 2 x 330v @250ma 2 x 18vac I guess that should give me some headroom with regards to adjusting the output current. I had it running for a few minutes and had some digital thermometers attached to the angle brackets just so i could keep an eye on the temps. I am very happy to report i have working HV and LV psu's and the voltages between +/- are pretty close. Many thanks once more KG for giving us these amazing things to build and of course mwl168 and sorenb for taking the time and effort organising the GB's.
  5. I watched someone total a car in Project Cars today. Total, as in 100%, as in never finished. Apparently there's an "eject shattered windshield" button, because for a while there couldn't see through the multiple spider web cracks. Hood was also in the way for a while, but eventually it just blew off.
  6. Fried Chicken and Donut.
  7. Looks awesome. Glad to see you made it home, after watching you drive on Project Cars all night last night, I was not certain you would make it.
  8. Really fun little amp. I'm looking forward to getting to A/B it with an original Crack/Speedball. It is amazing how different it sounds from the SuSy Dynalo. If I had to pick one, it'd be the Dynalo, but I don't and won't. It is a fantastic change of pace amp and makes super relaxing pairing with the HD650s.
  9. It was unseasonably warm today so I took REI's approach to Black Friday. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  11. I too had fried chicken, Mac and cheese, and a donut. And some cocktails. This morning, my sister made cheesecake. Breakfast of champions.
  12. I'm going to order cut aluminum angles from OnlineMetals. Since I'm not too familiar with metallurgy: which alloy is preferred for attaching to heatsinks, the 6061-T6 or 6063-T52?
  13. One time I ended up with a suspension spring sitting on the hood of my car in PC it can be interesting. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
  14. Happy Birthday, Bryan. Hope it's been a great one.
  15. That's funny, because underneath that donut was mac & cheese. I tried the spicy fried chicken, and it was delicious, so I ate the whole thing. So between that and the 3 tenderloin medalions and the pecan tart in a sweet potato thingy (also delicious) and the kale salad, I'd say I ate enough. Oh yeah, and a biscuit. And a meat candy lollipop. All delicious.
  16. Happy birthday Bryan. . Cheers.. cheers...

  20. Happy Birthday Bryan!!!
  21. Fried chicken here too (plus a side of bacon Mac n cheese)... Best "wings" I've had in a long time. Should have ordered the wings instead of the strips though... I always make this mistake.
  22. Happy Birthday Bryan!

  24. My new bike saved me from several hospital trips this year so it's definitely a success. Smashes out downhill runs better than anything short of a dedicated downhill bike, and it's still light enough that goofing around on my local trails is still fun.

  26. I give you The Great Wall of Mayberry!
  27. I have already found the perfect animated gif for next week, posting it now:
  28. This is my progress so far. Waiting for the caps. Rest is more or less done. To answer some questions before they are asked: My transformer has 15-0-15 and 2x 18vac windings, because I was undecided which lv psu to use, when i ordered it. As you can see, I have decided which one to use, and connected the 15-0-15 just to prevent the wires from dangling around. I will clean up the transformer wires when I finish it. Any other questions are welcome ;-)
