The 007's really need a kick up the backside to perform. I just got some 007BL's yesterday and they appear to be completely stock so it will be fun to modify them. Stock they sound just a bit dull to be honest. The bass has the slight overhang to it and the soundstage is a bit too big. Treble needs a slight kick up the pants but it can all be fixed with the arcs. Feels a bit like 2002 to me... when I was messing with the Mk1's for the first time.

Well, I did pick up a KGSSHV amp for the SR-007's. Oh My! What a difference from the stock Stax SR-007tA amp. The phones sound quite a bit different with the KGSSVHV amp. Unit I actually heard this setup, could not fully appreciate just how good the SR-007's can sound. There is a lot more drive and dynamic contrast with the new amp. All in all, I'm very satisfied. Hard to fathom that there is even further improvement that can be had. :-)

Deep frying does seem obviously tasty. I actually went with what Steve recommended, this time. Karaage, poke salad, and a barbacoa tamale. I don't think I'll be able to finish it all.

I had another incident yesterday. What I don't understand is that I log out after each session. How can I be banned from the site when I am not even logged in..? Does this mean that people who access Head-Case without an account are also shown the banned notice.? That would certainlt discourage any potential newbies from coming here.......

After seeing John's audio rack in where he has his BHSE's amp section and PSU adjacent ( obviously not in this photo of his gear ), I decided to have my audio rack altered to allow me to do the same with my BHSE. The first photo is of how my audio rack was, to how it is now. Not very good photos so not easy to make out, but the bottom shelf ( empty ) is where the KGSSHV Carbon is going when John has built one for me that will hopefully be sometime next year.

Well, the Sunfire turned out to be a great choice, especially when I found the dreaded LFE+MAIN setting on my receiver. I also was rather impressed with the Best Buy Magnolia "Design Center" which there is one in Austin - which happens to be the closest to my house. I ended up with one of these for center. Need to re-Audessy things once we get some furniture moved around and then looking forward to the final product.

Sorry, but now you've just inadvertently started a conspiracy. It would be hard to imagine that TMoney has done anything to get banned, especially since Todd just implied that. Any off the record conversations would create controversy, unless there is some actual action we're not aware of. I'd suggest a payoff TMoney. Baked goods for all high rollers would be a good start.
