I've redesigned my own boards and using the RK50 typically. I'm currently using C3675 (4x for the active batteries), KSA1156, C4685A (output CCS), FJPF2145, STN9360, J79, K216.

A friend and I did a little synth and dance collaboration. All sounds coming out of the Synthstrom Deluge.

IMO, one of the greatest songwriters of our time.

Just finished American Utopia, the concert/documentary by David Byrne directed by Spike Lee. I needed this to remind me why Talking Heads was one of my favourite bands.

Frank Herbert's The White Plague. He did other stuff besides Dune. I have no idea why Hellstrom's Hive wasn't a movie Perfect scifi horror..

Nice work, Sebtdi! Here is a schematic for the amplifier boards Sebtdi and sweetleaf are using. Main difference to above schematic (kgsscarbonproduction.pdf) is the offset servo. The adjusting procedure for this is like any other Carbon. Balance is set by the trimmer close to the LED and offset balance is set by the trimmer close to output connector. For setting the output current use the two most outward trimmers. It might be bit tricky to measure the voltage cross the resistor (R21 and R22 in your case) on a live amplifier. Myself, I always check the current with help of a low voltage supply and a multimeter in mA DC mode cross the constant current source. Below sorenb tells how to do. I guess a 9V battery for low voltage will work just fine.

Here is a version with FJPF2145 in stead of 2SC4686 and 01N100D replacing 2SA1968. The file name is xxx_Mouser to indicate components are available at Mouser. Yesterday I completed the left side board and I’m listen to it this very minute. I’m very pleased with the outcome.

Finished the Netflix limited series Queen's Gambit mentioned above. Loved it (not perfect but it got me to pull out some of my fav chess books and dream about my adventures and comrades in the game). Here's a bit of nice analysis by GM Ginger Williams. Warning,.. this is full of spoilers!!!!

Been looking forward to this one. As a former tournament chess player, I'm always on the lookout for films about the sport that don't make me cringe. I've heard good things about the soundtrack too.

I watched the new Bill and Ted movie and of course it's utterly ridiculous twaddle but it did give me a little warm flush of nostalgia.

Finally watching Mad Men.

Both seasons of The Umbrella Academy (Netflix), Absolutely fantastic! Everything a sci-fi/superhero ensemble franchise should be. Very well produced on all levels, and fresh. Highly recommended for fans of this genre.

It can easily drive two sets at the same time but I agree, two output sockets are just a waste of everything.
