Yesterday we took a day trip to Montreal so I could practice not speaking French. Visited the Archaeology Museum, had a nice lunch at an Asian bistro and walked around the city for a few hours.

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! I had a decent day. Realized my license expired so I went to go buy some whiskey at the last minute, so I made a birthday cocktail. Had another band concert to play in (had one Sunday too) and a buddy in the section serenaded me with the HBD song, which was nice. 6 of us went out for dinner afterwards and they bought my dinner as a gift, and was nice meeting some new people/hanging out with others when we weren't just sitting in band. And, over the weekend, I got to have lunch/dinner with a good friend from back home while he was out instructing at a racing school in the PNW. Overall, been a solid time period since I turned The Answer.

I use these https://probemaster.com/spring-loaded-micro-tip-test-lead-kit/ the tips are replicable and have an assortment of end types and the leads are high quality... for more hands free measurements I use Sensepeek 4011 PCBite 2x SP10 Probe set https://telonic.co.uk/product/4012-sensepeek-pcbite-kit-with-2-x-sp10-probes-for-dmm/ they are not high voltage rated because of the exposed metal and relatively thin insulation on the wires but they stay in place. The tips are as sharp and fine as the probe master. They also sell scope probes:

A Chinese parts vendor that actually seems to be legit, LCSC. Recommended to me by a guy on Diyaudio. They are associated with jlcpcb and provide all of their parts. Needed some TPS7A3001DGNR, which are currently out to Aug. 2023 (they were out further than that when I ordered these) at Mouser. Ordered some from LCSC and they appear to be genuine (and function so). Shipping is expensive, and the more economical options take awhile to get, so I will only use as a last resort, but good to have.

The Mad Max beyond Thunderdome movie was released (good grief) in 1985 - so Turner was an awesome looking 46 year old. Gibson was a whole lot younger at 29.
