June 5, 20197 yr You're a beast Nate... not sure I could avg. 15mph for that right now. I'm not worthy!
June 16, 20197 yr Nice, Jose! The Ginger Avenger and I went with Xavier (aka Half-Mexican Dragon) to our second mtb demo day in as many weeks. We hit up Pivot today and took out a Mach 5.5, Mach 6, and Switchblade, respectively. Some of the best climbing mtbs I've been on. However, we did have the Biscuit Boy special on hand, just in case.
June 16, 20197 yr Been a shitty bike week for me. Have only been riding indoors for months but I decided I should get my bikes summer ready. First I discovered that the braking area on my Mad Fiber front wheel is totally fucked: Contacted the company founder who confirmed I'm out of luck. Pissed off but figure OK I still have the other bike with Zipps to use. FML. Hopefully Zipp will fix but still out a lot of money to get back up and running. At least I wasn't riding either of them. June 16, 20197 yr Wow, what shitty luck. You are right about the "not riding them" though. Nothing like a delaminated wheel to ruin your day.
June 17, 20197 yr Some "Wasps" ? accompanying members of a club from the La Gomera island. In the first photo we are singing "Sexual Healing" while climbing a 13% ramp in the middle of a 1st mountain pass Edited June 17, 20197 yr by jose

I don't think I will be able to trust them again anyway.
June 18, 20197 yr ^^^ That's a huge suck pill. sorry to hear about the double bad luck with wheels trip. I've been having a hell of a time with the rear tire on my MTB. I've been popping tubes left and right and decided to try tubeless. First attempt leaked badly. Second, well I'll let the picture speak for itself. Got that for Father's Day yesterday. Managed to get it cleaned up, remounted, re-inflated and a short rainy ride in but it still won't hold air. Dropping it off at a friend's tomorrow who's more in tune with this bike shit than I am.
June 18, 20197 yr I found the tubeless journey (road wheels) to be frustrating at first. Trouble with mounting, trouble with holding air, etc. Three years later, I'm never going back to tubes. I've had three flats in that time. I had to use a couple worms once to plug a hole that wasn't sealing by itself. Compare this to at least a dozen flats per season with tubes. Fuck tubes!
