May 25, 201511 yr RIP Marques and Nashes and Meara. I loved the Globetrotters and Stiller & Meara as a kid.
May 25, 201511 yr I *usually* wear seat belts in a cab on the freeway, but given that John Nash and his wife were ejected and died while the seat-belted cab driver and driver of the other car had non-lifethreatening injuries I think I'll be more careful in the future. Sad.
May 25, 201511 yr Very sad about the Nashes. Good wake up call for me about "why" I should wear seat belts (it's not just about not getting tickets). I always loved Meara. Stiller kind of scared me as a kid. Great team!
May 31, 201511 yr Author I'm sure this will be all over the news today, but what a shame. Friggin' cancer sucks. RIP Beau Biden.http://6abc.com/756875/
June 1, 201511 yr I didn't even know Beau was sick. My 54 year old brother has stage 4 lung cancer, so I'm familiar with the suckage factor with that disease.
June 4, 201511 yr Didn't he pass 7 years ago? RIP, nevertheless. EDIT: Reminded me to re-watch one of my favorite commercials ever. Edited June 4, 201511 yr by TMoney
June 5, 201511 yr We had to re-RIP to Bo after BB King.....for about 1 second I had a really huge breath suck-out, then I remembered that Bo did pass years ago......
June 5, 201511 yr Wow. I need to get my reading glasses adjusted.... Either that or stop your time travelling.
June 11, 201511 yr Ohhh Ornette. http://mobile.nytimes.com/2015/06/12/arts/music/ornette-coleman-jazz-saxophonist-dies-at-85-obituary.html?referrer=
June 11, 201511 yr Oh, that hurts. I'm so glad that I saw him perform, but wanted to see him again before he was gone. The last time we had tickets he cancelled for health reasons and never made it back to the area. I'm gonna have to play The Shape of Jazz to Come and some others. RIP Ornette the Original
