Man, these are rough days lately. Brent, I'm really sorry to hear about your loss. Fitz, your finger is lousy news, and Duggeh likely deserved it.

My condolences Brent. Sorry about the drill accident Fitz, hope it gets better quickly.

Sorry about your loss Brent. Fitz, I hope that your finger heals well and quickly.

My condolences to you Brent. Fitz, bad luck :(

getting a headache. the low end screen on the Lenovo T500 (a screen i specifically told the person who bought this, not to buy) is a terrible.

The low end screen sucks. The LED screens, on the other hand, are quite good :)

Passed the road test for my driver's license. I managed to stay on the right side of the road, and only turned on my windscreen wipers instead of my indicator twice :D

Also started the process to sign up to a H1N1 vaccine trial, to fund headphone/DIY purchases :palm:

Congrats!

Been there, done that (true story)

And glad you are OK duggeh! Sorry about the car.

It was his cat doing the massaging.

Went to see my Glaucoma specialist. The pressure in my eyes shot up 10 points in the last 4 months. He confirmed the eye pressue is very high and immediately pefomed laser surgery on my right eye (the one with the highest pressure). A little gravely feeling at first and the right eye has been weepy since the surgery but that will stop. Some eye drops to aid the healing and in two weeks I get to do the left eye.

Dang, this thread has become a bit of a downer lately.

Aimless -- move on out here to Denver. We have ways of dealing with glaucoma.

Today I received and setup my Logitech Harmony Remote.

This thing is awesome, nothing like universal remotes I had back in the day.

I had it configured and working flawlessly in minutes via the PC. I love the one touch activities buttons!

It was still a very pleasant way to start the day.

I may get a kitteh. My family has a Jack Russell that, while great, is without a doubt the most high-maintenance, spoiled little strumpet that ever walked the face of the earth. I'd like the independence of a cat.

Get a kitten. Bobby is wonderfully low-maintenance -- even manages to amuse himself most of the day. And he's too young to know any other way of life than the one I provide him. (So, for example, he doesn't know that many cats don't like their bellies rubbed.)

Oh, and it will help with the roach problem. It will play with them to death.

The senior citizen is high-maintenance and spoiled, so just a warning -- they do get that way when they get older. But you will love them so much by then it won't matter, you'll be more than happy to continue to spoil them.

And get a rescue. Just 'cause they're so many of them in the world.

x2 on that. Especially the rescue part.

As dog owner as well I feel I should point out that if you raise it not to be spoiled dogs aren't spoiled/troublesome. They will provide you with a life full of unquestioning love.

it was impossible not to spoil her though. We have no resistance to her sweet charm. :palm:

Yeah. I'm a bit of a hard-ass so I manage too resist. When I'm away though my wife used to let the dog do all sorts of crap, she claims she (my wife) doesn't do that anymore. Our dog (Rugby) has been pretty well behaved for the last year or so.

My wife is the hard ass at our home. When she leaves, the dog gets spoiled like you would not believe. I will be a terrible father.
