And now what did you do TODAY?

Just saw a thing on the news from the Church of John Coltrane that it was the 50th for A Love Supreme.

Caught the tail end of J. Hanrahan Quartet doing it at Monterey. Even just 20 minutes or so was pretty religious.

Enjoy!

Played in a Christmas concert with the Mid-South Symphonic Band. We're up to around 75 members now. Local high school has a new fine arts center with 1200 seat theater and a band room that rivals collegiate band rooms I've seen... Including a hall of individual practice rooms. That'd be nice.

I may have video and/or audio soon. They are set up to record audio somewhat professionally. These kids have it good.

A buddy of mine brought his daughter (who's a friend of Zoe's) out to catch the concert, and he snapped a quick pic of Zoe and me at the top of the concert hall.

Here's a knee-high view of us on stage; thankfully I was hidden from view on this one (2nd row, center).

I thought Colin was HC's resident Clothes Horse? Sharp Dressed Man, Brent.

Today I figured out why the backup sensors on the new Honda Odyssey keep going off as I back out of the driveway: They installed two of them on the wrong sides so that what's supposed to point parallel to the ground points down towards the ground and is sensing the ground. Fun times. They'll have already admitted that they have to fix it, now it's a matter of schedule. I am thinking I will be spending New Years Day at the dealer.

You make a good point Nate. I will push for a loaner on the 1st so I can just drop the car off and pick it back up later. We head out of town in a few days and will not be available until then. The 1st will work well because work is closed. I'm mega-screwed once work starts back up on the 2nd.

They're open on New Years Day?  It is pretty much a solid holiday around here.

Yeah I was surprised but he said it was. If it isn't then I will have to figure something else out.

Good luck and sorry for the hiccup with the future Skanky Van East!

Staying home with a sick infant. At least he's not completely miserable.

On my way to doctor with a son with a gimpy leg. This is day two after some normal treatment options didn't work. Good times.

Hope yours gets better soon, Salty.

Finished moving my daughter into storage at 2:30 AM yesterday, and left for Nashville after 6 hours of sleep. Now driving to Kanasas City today, and we're ready for this to be over. Exhausted doesn't describe us well enough...

Sorry for your troubles, guys.

I went to work, did it, came back home, listening to some music. Nothing important. Waiting for to watch the Real Madrid game.

Sorry for the sick kids, Haj and Brent.  I hope the gimpy leg is explained and remedied quickly.

Pulled muscle and quadrupling the dose of meds I had him on, plus a heating pad... seems that's about all that can be done.

I took the time to try to get my APAP (FINALLY), as the place I was going to go through was just 30 seconds down the street from his doctor (they're 25 minutes away from the new place). Well, after multiple phone calls to insurance and the center, I find out that the former employee started the authorization, never finished/submitted it, but filed it under "Done." It take 7-14 BUSINESS days to go through, too. (This was supposed to have been started on 11/14). Needless to say, I wasn't happy. The sleep center people apologized profusely, and are going to work on pushing through a rush order with insurance to get everything approved.

Yep, that's about how it goes. Xavier, however, seems to be in good spirits and is being a trooper.

We already knew this (took him to doctor last night) but Beckett's got his first ear infection and conjunctivitis, along with god awful sounding coughs.  The conjunctivitis appears to be clearing up nicely, but he still has nasty cough and hasn't been quite himself.  I'll be taking another day off tomorrow, which I'm sure the work will love.
