Folks, I remember starting this thread on the old layout. I didnt see that again. I just wanted to share my experiences on handling Kenny G for the company I work for. He is doing a gigs in our corporate event and I'm the event coordinator. Have to admit he is one of the easiest celebrity to take care. No stupid request for his riders. A very nice guy, easily approachable and very down to earth. When he finished his performance, some of our premium clients wanted to take a picture with him and he graciously agreed "whatever you want....." is his comments when I ask for his permission. I'm his fan to a certain extent though not biggest fan. Despite his music which is hi…

GROUP METEOR SHOWER WATCHING! 1:40AM Eastern Standard Time Post pictures and/or impressions here. That means people with large fast digital slr's capable of large dynamic range. Like you nate. Carbon Fiber tripods recommended. Since this event also coincides with GIN HOUR (1AM EST), I would like to think of this as an evening party. Most of you don't care, but when was the last time you stopped and smelled the roses? Or looked at the sky? In this day and age of computers and instant on demand high quality music/movies/tv, I think we all need to slow down and enjoy the natural wonders that have entertained and stupefied mankind for millenniums. sourse: http:…

I liked Paul Newman as an actor, but most for his generosity when giving from his food business. It was estimated that his food business generated close to 90 million or possibly more for various charities and causes. He will be dearly missed.

How hot is it? It's so hot... ...I am now eating baked strawberries (I only left them in the car for 10 minutes). Here's a science joke for you: ...glass melts. ...I'm not even working up a sweat and I'm working up a sweat.

Hey everyone- I'm in a bit of a pickle. I've run out of kick ass speculative fiction to read, and I need recommendations. Sci-fi/fantasy is such a scary genre to navigate. One second a book's premise seems promising, but then it delves into childish writing and predictable situations. I'm a short way into Peter Brett's The Warded Man, and it reminded me of these types of pitfalls. Of course it is hard to trust amazon-type reviews of fantasy, because not all fantasy readers are as discerning as me, you, and everyone else who likes good things. Anyway the premise starts out awesome: demons come out every night and try to kill people. The only thing the protects pe…

I've been meaning to introduce y'all to Neko for a while. We got her back in November. She is my/our first dog. She is a Chinese Crested/Terrier mix that was rescued from a kill shelter on her last day. She is 3 years old and weighs 10.5 pounds. House broken and crate trained, it is a mystery how a dog like this ends up in a shelter. She is the most "velcro" dog I have ever seen, constantly wanting to be around Melody and I. She loves everyone, and the more people in the room the merrier. She is definitely a party dog. Her grooming keeps her mostly hairless, but hair does grow, and she looks really funny when she gets fuzzy. We love this dog!
