Hey, I've recently stumbled upon someone selling Beats By Dre Pro for about 200 bucks. Seems like a bargain doesn't it? I know Beats aren't the best headphones, but I'd be happy to buy them for 200 bucks. He claims they are original and still in good condition. Says he has a receipt too. But you just can't be sure enough with all these fakes nowadays. In my opinion they seem pretty legit, but I'm just a newb. Can someone give me their opinion, do you think these Beats By Dre Pro are genuine? If you need more pictures to verify, please tell me. I'll ask him for some more. Hello, I recently purchased a pair of Shure SE215 online and they came in this box: http://s90.photobucket.com/user/ofey_s/media/Shure/SE215-01.jpg.html From what I have read this version is the "international" version. If I am correct this is the U.S box: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/G/01/musical-instruments/detail-page/Amazon_SE215-CL_img10_lg.jpg Is this a problem for me as I am based in the United States? And is there a difference in the manufacturing?

So I bought a lot of modified headphones on ebay, SR-Lambda Signature, SR-007Mk2 and SR-009. They looked to be in rough condition so I thought, worst case I'll tinker with them and have some more spare parts for my stock. Now... the first two units were bad... really bad but I fully rebuilt them from my stock of spare parts. Now I've been fixing up lost cause headphones for 20 years but still, these were the worst I've ever seen. Missing parts everywhere and utterly retarded ways of "improving" them by making everything worse. Now, I had left the 009's in their box until this morning and wow... just wow... So what are we looking at, these are t…

I was asking this before, not here, but I do not have that impression that these were ever tried by somebody. As far as I know you can not buy them in Europe or U.S.A., but in Russia is no problem. When they came out, like year ago, they were like USD 250-300 and now you can get them for like USD 140. So, the question is, anybody who can share? I am not looking for an review, cos I have seen them, just need "inside" information, if you know what I am talking about, someone from community... THX

A W10Ltd was offered in trade for my RS-1 at the other site. Have not found much info on this phone in the hour or so I looked. I'll research more later. His description "these are the limited edition woodies, released after the original w10vtg. it's a different sounding beast, cleaner and more focused than the vintage. bought them used here in excellent condition with original cardboard box. Wonder if anyone would care to comment on their interpretation of the sound ... especially as it relates to the W5000 or AD2000, or even compared to the RS-1.

Hi guys. I'm looking for an upgrade and have grown interested in the ATH ESW9. They are the only portable can I would carry around, due to the good looks, small size and supposedly good sound quality. What I would like to know is if they are as good, if not better, than Triple.fi 10 Pro. Prices are comparable. Has anyone heard both (maybe Vicki, at the meet with MrArroyo and Volron)?

I only just discovered the ATH-ES10, and it looks to be fairly high grade. Anyone heard both this and the ESW10 and want to compare? Or have other things to say about the ES10 (that's the shiny titanium one)?

I just bought a pair of these from Beach Camera (refurb) and initially I am not too impressed with them. I find them to be bassy and a bit bloated and lacking in midrange definition. Reading the mod thread on HF, it sounds like this mod would do what I think these need, but I was wondering if anyone here had done this mod and what your impressions were with it? Or would I be better off just getting rid of these? I was looking for an inexpensive closed can for home use; I need something that doesn't leak sound to disturb others in the room. I am driving these with a Dynalo, so plenty of power.

It has been a very long time since I've been in the market for a semi-full sized, closed headphone. The last one I had was the AKG K81DJ. I liked that pair of cans well enough, except for the comfort: they pinched my ears like no other, and I can't wear them for more than half an hour without feeling discomfort. From what I've gathered, people here like the ATH-ESW9 for a semi-full sized closed headphone. The fact that they are supposed to sound decent straight out of an iPod also makes them appealing. However, I still have concerns about comfort. I have big ears that are long but not wide. So most headphones end up pinching my the top and bottom of my earlobes, and …

Has anybody seen these? I kinda doubt it, but figured I'd ask. Something about them has been calling me for a while, now. They are 'studio' phones according to AT. Its announcement has seemed to have been ignored here, but IMO, this is a very special headphone. I own the W1000X, and acknowledge its faults, but there is no comparison between the two. If you love opera, female vocals, chamber music, etc. I am sure you will love the W3000ANV.

Anyone heard these? Are they worth a shit? I may order some just because they look intriguing. I would be using a beefed up Raptor with Tung Sol and Telefunken tubes and an EAR HP4 to drive them with an Esoteric DV-60 as a transport and Reimyo DAP 999. Any opinions would be great before ordering more stuff I won't keep and lose money on. Looks like I need to update my signature, all the heavy duty Esoterics are in my home system now.

I think I'm the first consumer to get a pair... sorry NoNoNoNoNoNo! They rushed 1 of my two pairs out in order for me to try and get it reterminated to balanced prior to the meet. It comes in a giant ziplock bag in a functional travel bag. They look pretty much identical to the prototypes but less beat up, a nice Audeze logo with a L on the left side (I believe designating which side is left etc and a very durable looking cable. I believe they consulted a few of our resident cable making experts for tips and used something along the lines of Canare/Belden? cable. Did some tests immediately since I'm still at work and it seems like it leaks as little sound as my…

No, I don't have any information on these yet. But I do know that Don now has a pair in house. He reported on HF that fit and finish is excellent, and his very brief immediate impressions were good. I know he wants some time before giving any real impressions, but I thought I'd open a spot for him to do so when he's ready. I'm really looking forward to hearing about these, as they may well be on my list of new phones to purchase.

I'm looking for a pair of high-quality headphones to mix/monitor on for recording purposes. The HD650's have long been recommended for this purpose (despite being less neutral than the HD600), and as I keep hearing that the LCD-2's share a somewhat similar sound signature - I'm wondering if they would be a good choice in my situation. I am aware that some engineers use the LCD-2's for this purpose, but I've heard comparatively little information about them when used for monitoring. Headphone mixing is not exactly a popular field compared to monitor speakers in the audio world, which might account for this lack of feedback about them, so I thought I'd see if anyone arou…

Noticed that there hasn't been anything posted on the Audeze LCD-3 for some time now. The Fazor update was around 2014 or so, and there was a fair amount of press at the time that it improved the performance of the headphones. I picked up a set of LCD-3's last fall, and to me, they sounded pretty darn good overall. I found it a step up from a pair of Focal Elars that I was using. At this time, was using a Mjolnir Audio Dynalo amp to drive the Audeze LCD-3's. While I was happy with the sound overall, noticed that some recordings didn't have quite the clarity I was hoping for. So, when a deal to pick up a Mjolnir Audio Pure Bipolar for a really good pric…
