Our usual date (last Saturday in July -- 10 a.m. to way past dinner), at the usual place: Ramada Inn & Conference Center I figure all the Jersey Boys know about this already, but what the hell. We let New Yawkers in as long as they've had their shots. Big room this year -- the hotel doubled the friggen' fee, so buy stuff at the auction (or buy raffle tickets, whichever we end up doing). Hey, my wife left her D2000s (Lawton 2000s, full markl plus wood) by the computer, so I'm listening to them as I type this. I forgot how good they are. Mark L. is a genius! Would there be any interest in getting a meet up and running? Would be willing to travel to Columbus if easier for all. Seems like a lot of Ohio heads just waiting for a music party. This area seems to be taboo since the whole Mikey1 party got pissed on. Really would like to hear some serious rigs to know in what direction to continue my home hp project. So far I have a SP Platinum and 701s. I am wanting to listen to some sources & hps to find out my sound before spending $$$ for a decent component. I just need some folk to show off some primo gear.

This year's burning amp is this Saturday the 17th in Redwood City. http://www.burningamp.org I'm going to try and go. It is always fun to see what the DIY community has cooking. Is there anyone else who is planning on going?

Anyone on here near Charlotte, NC? Anyone be interested in a meet and greet at my house to demo the new PS Audio Perfect Wave system AND Esoteric SA-50? Post away with impressions and pics. As usual, for me, it was more about the folks than the gear. But I did accomplish what I set out to do re gear: compare the O2 mk2 to the O2 mk1. Great to see friends old and new.

Waiting for Jp’s arrival. He has a bunch of he has a bunch of headphones to try out with his Matirx Sabre DAC. I have HP1’’s with the J Grado amp (Gene’s gear) as well as my Lola’s and Matirx Mini Pro 3 Streamer.

Just throwing out there that I plan on being there on Saturday April 14 and would love to hang with anyone. Looking forward to spending way too much money in the new “record shop” as my two primary online vinyl places - acoustic sounds and elusive disc - will be there. I’ll plan on stopping by those manufacturers of gear I own just to say hi and chew the fat a little bit (emotiva, wyred4sound), and even though I don’t have a uturn table anymore, I’d love to just say hi to uturn audio. And justin! Go headamp. Let me know if you plan on coming, maybe I can help organize a dinner for us and the out of towners.

Ron (HiFlight) is a member of a Yatch Club in Fort Myers and has access to a large salon. He already hosted a meet there and IMO it is a very nice venue at a good per person cost of $15 including lunch (soup, sandwich bar, and cookies). If there is interest I will post pictures of the location and of the water views from the salon. I personally was surprised at how nice the Fort Myers downtown, pictures are also available. Seattle Spring meet: 3.22.08!!! I like the numerology of it (3*2) +2=8. The next two meets should be doozies. Spring will begin our push to get more vendor participation, and at least one summer meet will be hosted by Gil who is donating his garage space and two-barrel barbecue. So March...June...September...December...and maybe more. Last weekend's mini meet was a lot of fun, but I hope in the future we can have mini meets as well as "last minute" meets so that everyone can participate. Saw this mentioned over at Audio Asylum. I'm sure at least a few of the NorCal folks here will probably want to attend. Lots of interesting vendors too: California Audio Show by Dagogo At first I was semi-interested in traveling out for it, but man, whoever picked a location way out in Emeryville needs a smack upside the head. The hotel venue isn't even close to at least the Oakland airport?! The date will probably be a conflict for me anyway, but that is some serious planning ineptitude. Way to kill the incentive for out-of-town travelers.

Naples Mini Meet on January 7th, 2010: Ron (HiFlight) and I exchanged a couple of PMs and decided to get together to try each other’s new gear.
