Haven't bought a watch in years now. Which is odd considering I still religiously spend at least a half hour a day checking the grey dealers, forums and Chrono 24 to keep up with what's out there. Might just sell the lot to create some impetus and start from scratch again under the pretense of building a "rational collection."5 points

Good news: I found my Fitbit. It was on the floor under the footstool, near the trashcan. Bad news: I didn't find it until after I dug through the trash and didn't find it (also accidentally spilling some trash in the kitchen floor and getting some on my arm (I had small gloves on). As you can imagine, with my anxieties, digging through the trash makes me feel a bit ill! Maybe it's good for me to have to do stuff like this every once in a while.3 points

Learned a lesson on the importance of shopping around with your own auto insurance company: Forgot to register the car with insurance until today (was covered anyway due to rules) but I was about to add it to my policy and the price came back insane (increase of well over $500). So I went to their website and got a quote as if buying a new policy just for the car and it was much lower at around $290. I pointed this out and they looked into it. In the end I moved all of our vehicles to the new quote and the net increase to the insurance was $43. I would have accepted an increase of $300 and said "oh ok" and that would have been it. In the future you should just set an alarm through the app and the thing will start buzzing/vibrating making it easier to track down.2 points

It was for my wife. So I guess I should have said I haven't bought myself a watch in years. That might have changed today though.2 points

Thanks Guys! Had a nice relaxing day mixed with a few errands - I went to the watchmaker to pick up a watch that was being regulated, who also changed a couple of watch straps and sized my son's watch bracelet for him. He'll have my Snoopy Award birthday-Omega appraisal done soon. I shipped an Omega Aqua Terra to it's new owner who's helping pay for Snoopy. I weighed in at my nutritionist on the body composition analyzer, and at 212 pounds my body fat is down from 84 lbs to 58 lbs since October, and I'm only 12 lbs away from my end goal of 200. Losing 30 lbs in 6 months makes it easier to walk on my bad leg too. Went to have a nice dinner despite the calories, and then home to watch my favorite recorded shows and now reading this before bed.2 points

Seems preferable to go big on the schnitzel. ;-) It was pork, Jacob. With some lemon wedges and lingonberry jam. Tasty2 points

Thunderbirds was one of the first TV series I ever followed (we only got the box in South Africa in 1976, as the Apartheid government correctly feared it would corrupt the morals of the populace by opening a window to the rest of the World). I had watch it dubbed into fucking Afrikaans as "Redding Internasionaal" ("International Rescue"). Still loved it. RIP Sylvia.1 point

I'd try to sync from more than 30 feet away from wherever the trash is. That's normally about the distance my bluetooth earbuds disconnect.1 point

Try to sync with it to get a general idea of where it might be. You should be able to narrow it down a bit doing that.1 point

I have an old Nautilus. It is okay but I am not a huge fan of the looks and would not even think of paying that much for one.1 point

Maybe you've heard this before, but your Schnitzle is quite large, in relation to your potatoes.1 point

Have a wonderful birthday, Larry! I remember reading your reviews back in 2010 when I was just starting out in the hobby.1 point

I was living in Walnut Creek, CA. I think it was '92. I was getting ready for work when this video came on. I'd not heard the song before. When my roommate/best friend came down a minute later, I was balling like a baby. He thought a family member had died, and when I told him it was the video he laughed at me. By this point in time I had lost multiple friends to AIDS. And my macho, redneck, Texan Father had shocked the hell out of me, by completely accepting my homosexuality. This song/video still makes me cry every time I hear it.1 point
