RIP - Ginger Baker. Will listen to some Cream today.

RIP Ginger.

Cream was the first concert I ever attended (thanks mom!).

And over the years, I always kept an eye on what he was up to.

What a talent!!!

Now Paul Lynde, Charles Nelson Reilly, and Rip Taylor are all gone. :(

After that Hollywood Squares "stab from the past", I couldn't help but do some searching.

Just looking at the pictures of those kooks can't help but warm my heart.

Oh...I just saw him on”El Camino”
Great in this as in anything else he did.

Sad! He was in my list of great actors. I definitely have to watch “El Camino” now, not that I wasn’t going to before this.

RIP Robert Forester.

One of many actors that had great roles during the WWll movies from my youth.

I'm thankful that some of them like Forester, had a revival in recent years.

Perhaps Mr. Blessing or others, have some insight on what spurred casting directors to tap this vein (I'm thinking it wasn't just about directors like Tarantino or Lynch/Frost looking for 70's authenticity?).

This happened a while ago, but I just found out about it.  In the 90s I attended Landmark College in Putney, VT.  We used to go for "drives" around the Vermont hills and uh, sample the Vermont green.  Occasionally we'd pass "the art property" which was a farm that had some massive metal sculptures on it.  This lead to some "whoa, dude" moments.  Apparently the sculptor died earlier this year at the ripe old age of 87.  One of his works is going to be moved to the Landmark campus, which is pretty neat: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/06/25/arts/charles-ginnever-dead.html
