Dreadhead
Nice. Cheap but kick ass lens for what it is. Optics are excellent. I managed to not buy JH13's
tyrion
When does the ULN-2 arrive? He believes that PS Audio thing is better. He probably doesn't even deserve the JH13, now that I think about it.
Dusty Chalk
"let me make idiocy an even number and bring it up to 4. " What's the cut-off date for that? If you go back to November 21, then the number is five. Five is the number...................Technically it's not idiocy to buy it the one time it's on sale. screaming oranges
Technically it's not idiocy to buy it the one time it's on sale. It is idiocy when you buy something you absolutely do not need JUST because it's on sale. I am such a happy idiot right now! YAY!

Sherwood
(is it still called a chord when it's only two notes?) Two notes is an "interval". Other than that, I pretty much agree
Voltron
Adding a mono cart? Me- I picked up a Sony PS-X6. Maybe later, but for now I have two carts I like and want to compare more directly and see which one is "better".
mypasswordis
Two notes is an "interval". Other than that, I pretty much agree The interval between two notes is the interval. Playing two notes at the same time is a double stop, and is part of a chord, of which the third or fourth notes are nearby. Edit: Or omitted. Sherwood
I'm talking bass terms here. A 2-note chord is traditionally referred to only by its interval in common slang. i.e. play an 11th at the 6th fret, etc. What we lack in class, sophistication and proper usage of terms, we make up for in... hmm.... A 2-note chord is traditionally referred to only by its interval in common slang. i.e. play an 11th at the 6th fret, etc. Two notes IMO is also referred as an interval and depending on whether you go with a major or minor third things could get interesting specially when you start inverting the notes. mypasswordis
No such thing as a 2 note chord and I'm pretty sure you should still use double/triple/etc stops as the correct term but yeah we're just getting into semantics here. Stuff gets really interesting with inversions of applied chords or other non-diatonic chords.

Dusty Chalk
Scratch that, I didn't lose it -- he just didn't understand that I had commited to buying it on Friday, rather than "sleeping on" the decision. Oh, and it's not a steam. It's closer to a flavored porter or a stout or maybe even a brown. Steam is closer to an ale. I think -- someone with more knowledge about beer can correct me, please. EDIT: You know what, just scratch that, looks like I got it completely wrong -- the Christmas brew is an ale according to their website, and the steam is a lager according to wikipedia. So just...nevermind. Edited November 25, 2009 by Dusty Chalk
