December 2, 20187 yr Just returned from a fencing tournament so now Lance is qualified for two different weapons and four events at the Junior Olympics. By some wild coincidence we are having dinner tonight with two olympic coaches, two olympic foil fencers and some fencing parents. Best of all, no broken foils!

January 4, 20197 yr Made two round trips to LAX today and I can definitely say that a 4am trip to the airport has less traffic and congestion that a noon trip. Dropped off Lance and Mary for a flight to Charlotte for a North American Cup tournament and dropped off Emily for a flight back to Boston. Now is probably the best time to take delivery of all my wine orders.

Found all sorts of shit. a Metro card with about $30 on it (and a picture of some great cats of some variety or another, the real reason I missed it) my Rotring my prescription sunglasses a shoe — just the one, don’t know where its mate is a notice that my car is paid off...since July or August or so a tin full of picks a library card A bunch of tins of mints a flattened, sealed bag of chips a couple different earplugs A strat body enough Allegra-D to start my own meth lab A special case (Xmas) of Maestro Dobel Diamante (that’s tequila, right?) an almost smooshed carton of almond milk ... Anyway, you get the idea.

January 12, 20197 yr Yup. I was the guest of Santa Clara County for 10 days (IIRC). Ohio or California, the cuisine seems to be pretty consistent even after a couple of decades.
