I'm going to use this thread to welcome new members and provide inspiring messages to them. Welcome gwrskien! hope you are having a phenomenal day and you find what you are looking for at headcase. remember the best part of screwing up dinner is you can always order a pizza. and pizza is awesome, no matter who you are, unless you can't eat cheese. some places have that vegan cheese though which is pretty good. oily but good.

I donated a knife and $300 gift certificate I bought at toorknives.com to the Green Beret Foundation, to raffle off to raise money for the them. The GBF said up a classy.org page to buy a ticket. I asked Toor to do this since they have 11K followers on IG compared to my 54 and would better be able to promote it. They are a veteran owned small business and make some cool fixed knives. I then contacted GBF and they agreed to set up a donation page and promote it on social media. Here is the link: https://fundraise.greenberetfoundation.org/events/in-honor-fallen-6/e109764 if anyone is interested.

Just set mine up on the home network and opened the required port at the office so I can peek in on ESPN during my breaks. Man, this thing is sweet! Wish I'd had it when March Madness was in full swing. Still, that darned thing is COOL!! Snagged a 4 port Slinglink so I can pop in a Squeezebox, DVD player, and a couple more items, too! Man, I do love tech toys!

Hey Everyone, I just wanted to thank this community. Head-case has been an incredible wealth of knowledge for me, having guided my foray into high fidelity audio. I joined Head-case in 2008, soon after discovering that head-fi was overwhelming and nearly impossible to garner useful information from. I then spent the next couple of years lurking and reading, eventually leading to several (blind, but somewhat informed) purchases. I've been enjoying music through the same set-up for the past 4 years or so. I haven't been here in a while, but I decided that it was about time to offer my gratitude to the community that built my headphone system - quite literally, as my hea…

In the few years I have been at this forum, I have learned how to solder and stuff, and in the process met some great acquaintances. Wish you all the best.

OK, I know that he doesn't visit here and most likely won't see this, but I was struck by the fact that he turns 39 today. In a funny way Duggeh started the whole headphone stand business that I was once involved in. He had a pair of Jecklin headphones, and posted that he was worried they'd get scratches by just setting them on his desk. So without any instruction from him I went out to my shop, found some scrap wood, and built my first headphone stand. I messaged him that I had something that I'd like to send him. He gave me his address and I shipped it off to Scotland. Upon arrival I guess that he was pretty surprised and pretty happy. He made a very lengthy …

Hey- In the past three years I've held various branch level positions at a monster mega bank. The pay has been decent enough for a single person with no mortgage or other major debt to speak of, but I've long since grown weary of the job, and to be perfectly honest without trying to sound arrogant, I'm too smart for this job. I very recently finished my degree in English. My original intention was to pursue further education and a life in academia, but that no longer feels like the right path. So I'm considering going to part time or no time and returning to school for a completely different degree. I'm considering either Accounting or Computer Science. I'm v…
