Wow! Guess hes been having health issues for awhile and he's leaving Florida after there bowl game new years day.

Overall smooth start to the race today without massive pile-ups that often happen in the first days. The crowds were unbelievable in Yorkshire -- such a turnout could not have been expected. Cavendish screwed it up in the last 250 meters because he was too anxious and now it seems likely that he will be out of the race altogether. Sad finish for the home crowd but Kittel is the real deal and Sagan doesn't have the same level of power but is still crafty and quite fast. I hate Cuntador but they say he is in great shape and will at least challenge Froome more than last year. It would be nice to have some others step up and create some drama. I will miss Quinta…

Lance made a very strong showing on the first day and I was thrilled that he beat Contador in the Prologue time trial. Especially given that the Wall Street Journal published the same Fuckhead Landis accusations on the eve of the race. Weak move by the WSJ But nice that Lance kept his composure and channeled the anger into riding strong. Psyched for the whole race!

Anyone who hasnt seen this documentary on Ali should find when its playing and check it out. The best sports documentary I've seen. It was on Spike TV a couple days ago and will probably run again.

Never did like the guy but if this turns out to be true, you almost have to feel sorry for the guy. Several media outlets reported him having "an alergic reaction" to the pain medication he'd been taking. Why it took almost a week for that to occur is a bit suspect in and of itself. Now media reports are breaking that T.O. tried to commit suicide. Fox News was first IIRC and now the others are also breaking this. Sad.

The Mitchell Report is going to be released in about 20 min or so. It's already leaked out that Roger Clemens will be named and it's expected to name anywhere from 50-80 additional players.

Well the Tokyo Olympics will start this Friday and even though Lance is no longer fencing I thought I might share a piece with you explaining some of the basics of the sport should you consider watching the USA fencers in action. The video was shot at Lance's former fencing studio; the fencer Ysaora trained with and fenced Lance multiple times and Lance would occasionally beat her. At the 5 minute mark you will see our friend and Lance's coach Maurizio who Lance will be visiting in Italy next Month. Ysaora is France's number one foil fencer and projected to medal. Mixed emotions here I gotta say... Fencing 4 U

Today in health class we had a sub who instead of actually doing anything had us get into an arguent about what a sport. Is curling a sport? Nascar? Cheerleading? What about Chess? The dictionary was pretty vague, so what do you guys think is the difference between a sport and an activity?

Just wondering if there're any Red Sox fans here? So far so good, though I hope Coco will come back quickly from the injury. I like how Beckett has done to this point and let's hope his chronic blister problem doesn't surface this year.

Getting ahead of the season with something a bit different. I think Subban is a total dick on the ice but this was quite something: $10 million donation to the Montreal Children's Hospital. Meanwhile, one of our Chicago studs is figuring out how much cash he'll need to pay the woman he may/may not have raped... At least the hawks re-signed Marcus Kruger. My faith in the 4th line is restored.

Hockey is back, though not spanning two calendar years this time. Was great to watch the first games yesterday and last night!

Well, the Bucs made history today. They've never ran a kick-off back for a touchdown until today. Michael Spurlock was the guy to do it. I've been following the bucs since 1982 when John McCay was the coach and they were so bad that the fans wore bags over their heads. Congratulations to Michael Spurlock! And to the Bucs for cinching the NFC southern conference title.
