Making a thread for DotA since there are probably enough of us here that play. I started playing again, and would like to discuss general strats. Any suggestions to get better with Clock? I've only played a few games, but I really can't get my head around him

I think this may have been released a bit ago, but just stumbled across the trailer today. Anyone play Limbo?

This is a freeware game inspired by the play controls in Super Metroid. It's the best freeware game I've ever played. I highly recommend picking it up and playing it if you have some free time. It's about 8 hours long and fun all the way through. It's available for both mac and pc, it works on Vista fine. Cave Story (Doukutsu Monogatari), A Tribute Site

This is probably the best game I've played on the PS3 so far. It's challenging and very rewarding to play. It feels like the old kings field games on the ps1 but way more polished and refined. As a warning I'll tell you that it's very hard and you'll die a lot. If you're easily frustrated by games like ninja gaiden on the xbox then you'll probably throw your controller a couple of times.

Anyone played it? When I was in high school I was pretty obsessed with DDR and ITG, but once I got into college I lost my access to any local machines so I picked up the pc alternative. For those not in the know, pretty much you mash the shit out of a keyboard in attempt to hit different combinations of arrows that are matched up with keys on your keyboard. It can get pretty nuts.

We have a couple games bumping around the "What Are You Playing" thread, as of late, so I thought it might be cleaner to use this space to discuss the greatest of those games, Elite:Dangerous. I'll grab some screenshots of my lousy ship and uninspiring progress later tonight, to get things started.

Is anyone else getting their fool head blown away by how sweet this is? Though the game is raping my laptop...

I ask because I want to learn how to do this. I don't know which emulators are the best nor how to work them. Any help?

Continuum Not sure if anyone here has heard this, I started playing in 2001 and still log on every once in a while, it's that kind of game. Either you will hate it or want to get good - there is a fairly steep learning curve. Try playing in the zone Extreme-games. Figured I have enjoyed this for a while, might as well pass it on.

Saw a video on gametrailers today about the most anticipated games and I just realized that this year is going to be awesome. I know lots of people called last year great, but none of the games really appealed to me. And I don't have or plan on buying an Xbox 360. But this year: Metal Gear 4, GT 4, Final Fantasy 13, Street Fighter 4, Fallout 3 and Starcraft 2. I've spent most of my gaming youth playing their predecessors. Maybe not so innovative but 2008 is going to be great.

It'll be easier than cluttering up other threads, just to post our chit chat about the clan in here. Tonight, we are trying to play at 8pm EST.

Was in the middle of GTA4 and it froze up and shut down. Now when I try and turn it on it stays on for 3 seconds then shuts down and beeps 3 times. The light flashes red as well. Anyone know if this can be fixed or is it going to be a trip to Sony? I've got one of the early 80 gig ones that has the hardware emulation for older Playstation games.

Yes, I'm a sucker for Zelda and Nintendo Portables. I pre-ordered the Switch and Breath of the Wild. Anyone else getting the Switch? I still have my original Game Boy from 1989. Also many other iterations afterwards. I'll have to post a Nintendo Portables line up picture when I get the Switch.

Did any of you goons buy into this one during the kickstarter? I was a bit wary of buying into a game so early in development, but the scope's looking pretty damn big now, and it's still in alpha. It's a huge space simulator in a huge persistent universe, but it also has some more simplified sub-games like arena combat and space racing. There's a free weekend going on right now, so I'll probably fly around and shoot at junk.
