  1. Moved too far from downtown to not have a car, and I narrowed the list down to a Subaru or a Subaru, after realizing an AWD Wagon was what I needed. The BMW that was perfect was just too much of a risk... So I bought a turbo Vovlo. Leaves me $$$ to buy a bike [emoji4] Thanks for the find, Jeff. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  2. Went skating, petted dogs. Also less exciting things like work.
  3. I hate the 507's and wish them death and destruction... the L500 I don't mind so much.
  4. His ribs are pretty short...
  5. Installed a Nest E. I had to relocate where the wire came out of the wall, patch/clean up the drywall and paint before it could go in. That said, it was a very easy install. I definitely prefer the clean look to the original Nest... It fits in well with the white in-wall speakers and wood work and is more subtle/less techy looking.
  6. Happy Birthday, Graim! Add a little squirrel tail to that cake and it would be perfect.
  7. We made Chef Stephanie Izard’s white bean soup with tomatoes and kale. Delicious. http://www.thislittlegoat.com/recipes/white-bean-soup Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. I used the 4040 on one of my GRLVs so I didn't have to put in a separate order for the LT1021. It works but is noisier than the LT1021, not sure if it's audible though
  17. It's ported. From what Stax have posted they don't use the L700 drivers, just the stators and it looks like normal L300 pads as well. Now whether this is good or not...we'll see.
  18. Happy Birthday, Gram!
  19. After a second thought I’m beginning to believe that it shouldn’t make any difference at all. After the diodes the “output” should be the same after swapping the leads from transformer, or?

  36. Thanks so much, everyone! I had a nice, relaxing day with the family. I actually I had the same 'Chicago cut' bone-in rib eye steak at Gibson's as Daniel did on that night that I posted the big ass steak! And it was fantastic! A month or two ago, I had read an article about the best new restaurants in the nation in Bon Appetit magazine. It listed one in Chicago that made its own pasta in-house with really great ingredients, and I really wanted to try it. It's Monteverde Restaurant and Pastaficio: http://monteverdechicago.com . We went for a late lunch, because dinner was completely booked out for over a month. We had the daily special which was an eggs benedict dish with local Berkshire Ham, tomato/mancheno filled arancini, Oma's Green Mountain Salad, pumpkin ravioli with a sage butter sauce, and fettuccini frutti di mare. Everything was great - totally worth a visit for you locals! Only one bad thing ... I completely forgot to take pics! Yikes! FAIL! I think I was thrown off by my daughter's lettering of the one pic I did take of our cocktails. I wanted to remember the names of everything we ordered, so after I took a pic of our cocktails, I tried to add a caption, but couldn't figure it out. I asked my daughter if she knew how to do it. She took my phone, did this: ... and I didn't see my phone after that until we were almost done. After that, I completely forget to take any more pics. Really sorry to fail you all, because it was a really great meal. After that, we went to a gourmet ice cream shop my daughter noticed on the way in, I had a big thing of ice cream, went home, and fell asleep. I think I was a little pasta and ice cream drunk. Later that night, we ordered in from a Thai place, just the usual Thai stuff, nothing special. But my parents always told me it was a Chinese custom to eat long noodles on your birthday to have a long life. So I do that whenever I can remember. Then after dinner we Amazon streamed The Hundred Foot Journey, which we'd all seen already, but everyone agreed was worth a second viewing. Kind of a quiet day, but I like it that way. Oh, and Anne got me a highly rated craft beer of the month membership. So I promise to post pics of that as they arrive! Anyway, hope you all had a great weekend also! And thanks so much for the kind wishes!
  37. Steak and wine in an old college local — The Highlander. Tartan cushions, tartan curtains, pictures of drum majors, not a damn thing has changed. There can be only oooooooone! PS: That’s my side salad because the doctor said to. Couldn’t eat it all, too fibrous. [emoji6]
  38. Yeah no matter than the marble would be pretty shit for this use but lets loose all common sense and dew eet!!!!
  39. Did the gen 5 upgrade to my Gumby this morning. It took about 30 minutes, start-to-finish. I'll leave it to others to describe any change in sonics, but I figure it can't hurt the eventual re-sale value. EDIT: If anyone wants the prior gen USB board to play around with, PM me and its yours for the price of shipping.
