So are you saying, that the show in which David Mitchell, plays, essentially, David Mitchell, make you think you have David Mitchell like qualities? https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2024/sep/21/ludwig-this-hilarious-detective-drama-is-the-perfect-platform-for-david-mitchell

Maybe more the fact that I have some skills (the protagonist in Ludwig was a puzzle creator) that are seemingly incongruent with my day job (and is called upon to pretend to be his brother who solves murders). 3 hours ago, Grahame said: So are you saying, that the show in which David Mitchell, plays, essentially, David Mitchell, make you think you have David Mitchell like qualities? https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2024/sep/21/ludwig-this-hilarious-detective-drama-is-the-perfect-platform-for-david-mitchell Yes that!

April 5, 20251 yr Author I got stuck on the second season of Fringe, which decided to make the advances of the deep plot slower. So watched Adolescent or Adolescence. I only liked the 3rd episode, the rest was just meh for me. I was expecting more drama or perhaps something more realistic. Right the beginning with half of Scotland Yard assaulting the kid's house seemed too dramatic and exaggerated. Looking for something funnier I started Chuck yesterday. Being only one season I think it's very likely that it wasn't good enough, but to be honest, I don't care . Oh, I just learned that they delivered like 5 seasons... April 9, 20251 yr MobLand (2025) - Paramount+ a Guy Ritchie joint, which tells you all you need to know.

April 16, 20251 yr Author Binged the new Black Mirror season in three days last weekend. Enjoyed it a lot.

April 26, 20251 yr Author Just finished the Season 3 of the White Lotus It could have made a decent 2 hour movie. I spent most of the time playing guitar.
May 10, 20251 yr Flew through Adolescence in two days. Yeah, it’s good. I’m not as blown away by it as some seem to be but it is obviously good. I am glad I gave it a shot. Edited May 10, 20251 yr by TMoney
May 10, 20251 yr Have not had much time to consume TV lately but family vacation finally offered a chance to check out: Thoroughly enjoyed this, looking forward to Season 2 this fall even if a very different story arc is proposed.
May 10, 20251 yr ^ Looking forward to. Just a clip in case it gets anyone interested in The Rehearsal. Nathan attempts to learn what makes a strong pilot from becoming Sully.
June 1, 20251 yr I'm not sure this was ever mentioned (search comes up empty) and it kind of came and went without substantial buzz outside the LGBTQ+ community, but Gentleman Jack (Max),from way back in Covid Daze, is worth a watch. Props for not always going the pleasing route. Criticism for occasionally going the ridiculous direction.
June 2, 20251 yr Dept. Q (Netflix) - An Edinburgh-based detective involved in a shooting gets re-assigned to a newly-formed cold-case department. A crazy set of twists & turns connects all the dots. We liked it alot. Hopefully there will be an S2.
June 2, 20251 yr Glad you posted that Jimmy. I've read all of the Dept Q novels by Jussi Adler-Olsen, which are set in Denmark, but it seems they kept the characters and themes the same. Gonna check it out.

Have heard good things about it and it was on my list; guess I'll bump it up.
June 4, 20251 yr I watched the first episode. I hope it gets better quickly. However, I'll admit that I was tired when watching. It's distinctly possible that I dozed for a millisecond. Though Al will atest that I rarely do that.
