I've been fairly impressed with this season's offerings thus far. Especially with the huge improvement in writing quality and originality this season. I guess the writers strike was good for letting some ideas flow and simmer. Here are the shows I currently follow, in order of preference. Battlestar Galactica Bones House BBC's Top Gear (hiatus) 30 Rock Californication (hiatus) Eureka (hiatus) No Reservations Scrubs (hiatus) Leverage (hiatus) Chuck Life Top Chef (hiatus) The Big Bang Theory Pushing Daisies (canceled) Weeds (hiatus) Lie to Me The Simpsons Burn Notice Heroes (now that Bryan Fuller is back. Jeph Loeb needs to get the f out of anyth…

I'm surprised that there's not a post on this already but how are you guys liking the new season of Scrubs? I think people who started from the beginning will agree that it's returned to its former glory (S6-7 were crap). Even with the budget cutbacks (notice that there's no sets outside the hospital and JD's apartment), I do thoroughly appreciate the story and humor once again. Do you like Elliot and JD getting back together again? Or do you agree with Bill Lawrence(keeping them apart)?

The black and white seasons are now in the public domain: It was cancelled in the Rural Purge: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rural_purge But I think the success of the Dukes of Hazzard changed their minds... The early 60s had a strange idea of family entertainment. Here's Dennis Hopper as a beatnik:

Anybody watching this show? Ethan Hawk plays John Brown. I'm really enjoying this. The young man who plays "Onion" is someone to watch. He may have a great career ahead of him.

Bradley Whitford & Colin Hanks play unlikely detectives for the Dallas PD: FOX Broadcasting Company - The Good Guys This could have been annoying, but somehow is played by both main characters in such a way that it is nothing but totally entertaining. It's definitely lite fare, but not insulting one's intelligence, and good pacing. My surprise favorite summer show (I almost grew a mustache!). My wife & I both laugh throughout. The summer finale aired on Monday, and will pick up on Fridays this fall. I think you can watch full eps online @FOX.

Just watched the first two episodes of this new series on EPIX. It's based on the book 6 Days of the Condor. An interesting cast to be sure. Some new people and a lot of actors that haven't really been seen in a while. I found it worthy of a few more episodes at least.

Anyone else catch the new Tim and Eric that was on the 18th. Absolute comedy genius, all 15 minutes of it. I had to watch the new Casey and his Brother about 5 times in a row to get it out of my system, the poop tube skit was also hilarious. What say you Head-Case members? PRO-TIP: You can watch it at AdultSwim.com if you missed it.

Not sure where this belongs but as the forum title also mentioned *little screen related things* and I'm on a 12" powerbook I think it might fit just fine here Not sure of this is "old" stuff but I had never seen anything like this and was quite impressed: StumbleVideo

Hadn't heard of this show, until Al texted me about it last night. I got sucked in by episode one, with great music and fun characters, so I started watching more tonight. It takes place in London in 1983-88. I just finished, it's only 5 episodes. I feel like I just did a tour on the front lines of a horrible battle. It's not for the faint of heart, but it's the most realistic portrayal of the AIDS epidemic I've seen. It brought up so many memories that I haven't confronted in so long, and friends cut down way too early. A rough ride, but maybe that's what it has to be, to tell the real story.

This and Criminal Minds have pretty much been the only 2 shows i have followed every week over the last few years. Hate to see it go. Looks like Jack will bite the bullet at the end, meaning no comebacks.

Just finished watching the women's finals with the Italian fencers Arianna Errigo, Valentina De Costanzo and the Russian Inna Deriglazova. I can't wait for the numerous responses from my fellow HCers. Waiting for Race Imboden to fence tomorrow. Lance has met with Race at both the Anaheim Grand Prix and the US Nationals. A really nice and personable guy. We wish him well.

"Sherlock" (2010) No not the Downey Jr one. A modern 3 x 1.5 hour episode 'series' on BBC that was broadcast recently and will released on Bluray/DVD on the 30th August Quite recommended if you are able to obtain it. I didn't think I'd enjoy it but decided to give it a try due to positive comments by some friends. I ended up liking it and even laughed a few times (I hardly ever laugh at TV) and found it quite entertaining, if not quite as polished as big budget productions tend to be. I felt this lent the programme a bit of charm and let the focus on title character really shine through, which is good because he's brilliant.

I'd started watching this last year (1st season), but only did about 4-5 episodes. [rant] I was going to rewatch it and finish the 1st season before starting the second, but those pricks at Comcast are charging $3 an episode for previous seasons now. I'm so glad the powers that be allowed Comcast to buy NBC/Universal. Service providers like them should never be allowed to own content creators, and apparently their "concessions" to not charge for such expired early this year, but I digress. [/rant] At any rate, I've been watching the 2nd season. Intense show, and so far I'm impressed. I think I read one reviewer stating that it was the new Breaking Bad. Not too f…

I'm obviously late to the show, but the first episodes have been fantastic so far. I'm disappointed that they only released the first season in Blu-ray... if I like it enough, I'll have to settle for DVDs of seasons two to five. The retro '80s soundtrack is great and they've done a good job with historical detail so far. The plot has some gigantic plausibility holes, but it holds together from a dramatic standpoint (i.e., a "realistic" espionage show would be incredibly slow, boring, and basically unwatchable).

Anybody else watch this. First couple of episodes have been intriguing, with a rather unique premise it's shaping up to be the few new shows worth watching.
