May 31, 201412 yr comment_638421 Great news on new jobs. That's always fun. Well, I hope it is, anyway. I finished a four day class on Spring Core. Spring is a dev framework that works with Java. I had read some tech books prior to the class, but crap, I had no idea how much meat I wasn't getting in the books. Geez. It was awesome. Hopefully I'll get to use it a lot...I suppose that part is up to me. Report
May 31, 201412 yr comment_638477 Took our daughter to a Field Day even at a local farm for picnic. They had bunch of different things for kids - pony ride, ice cream, local soda/juice, flower planting (to take home), etc. Much to our surprise, everything was free. Report

June 7, 201412 yr comment_639642 Up at the campground and the golf cart ran out of gas, battery dead on the car and then low pressure in one of the car tires. On the way to the local farmers market I realize today is Karyl's birthday and I hadn't done any thing. Local jeweler sells his own creations so I take her there and amazingly enough she found something she liked. From goat to hero and she thinks I had this planned all along. I'm not going out of my way to convince her otherwise. Report
