What the fuck are you talking about?

I came home!!!!11!

The shitholes at army recruitment office forgot to make me sign the paper. So I fucking spent 7 hours on road just for a sign.

Well I'd curse more but I got to see the cats!!! I'll post pic on proper topic. Damn I missed them.

I tried explaining to my dad who worked on Treasury networks and at Mitre and he had a similar reaction.

(Almost lost six thousand dollars unwittingly trying to save a few pennies.)

I don't fully understand either, but it almost seems as though you're implying that cash in the wallet would be a safer bet?

Rockin' dead Presidents old school baby!

Finished up my data center closet shelf. Most of the work is hidden behind my UPS, but basically coax, Ethernet and power in a 2-gang wall plate.

As a closet expert I approve.

I got stuck in Toy Blast.  I don't usually play these games, but it was so easy...until I hit about level 51, then I got stuck for a while, then I got lucky, and now I'm stuck at level 54, I think I'm going to quit here, because I keep getting overwhelmed by the ice, and "cold turkey" is the only way I know how to beat an addiction.

Big rain/wind storm last night and today. Power out all morning then back on, only to lose phone/Internet /cable all afternoon until now. Hoping that it hangs on for a few more hours anyway.

Two doors down the neighbors were not home and their power line from the pole across the street was draped onto their driveway. It was still connected at both ends but a large broken branch on their driveway must have brought it down. I called the power company to report it and rigged a warning sign to put at the front of their driveway. Oh, and I bumped my head into the wire while setting up the sign. Oops. No utility truck and no neighbors at last check. These same people had a very large tree crush their house a few years ago and it was only rebuilt as of about two years ago...

Be careful Al those downed power lines can arc to puddles and...well you know what that means.

We will be getting your storm by morning so I am told. glad I didn't wash my car last week.

Power lines scare the hell out of me. Knew a guy whose car got trapped when a tree went down in the Santa Cruz mountains. Stepped out of his car onto a line and got smoked before he even got out the car.

Be safe up there!

I had a ball cap and raincoat hood on and just didn't realize how close it was. Not going to mess around with it anymore.

A good friend of ours dropped off a bag of Meyer lemons from her garden so naturally I juiced them and am now tweaking a Lemoncello receipe using a vodka that is infused with lime and caviar. It will either turn out to be awesome or azz.

This was yesterday, but I had an excellent second date.  She ("New Emily") lived in Europe for several years, until quite recently, and lost her driving privileges in Ohio.  I tutored her on the Ohio maneuverability portion, which is basically just parallel parking.  Went well!  She failed that part three times in the last two months, so I can't possibly have hindered things.

Nothing arcy sparky, but I did just get a flash flood warning on my phone that the creek is at flood stage and rising. Not a risk to the house but it can create mobility issues.

Not today, but I start back to work tomorrow.

Man, you sure do get a lot of vacation time down there; congrat!
