Hey folks, in just over a month Billy (bhd812) along with the rest of the CanJam 2010 organizing crew will be hosting the third annual ChiUniFi headphone meet at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Chicago, IL. This is the same venue that will be used for CanJam 2010 in Chicago, so this year may feel more like a test run for the big event next summer. We currently have two separate rooms reserved for this meet, will follow up with more details in the coming days. ~~~ To sum it up: Date: November 7th Time: 11 AM - 5PM (subject to change ) Place: Hyatt Regency O'Hare Fee: We don't have one Recommendations on what to bring: HC'ers don't need this ~~~ H…

My suggestion is in Reston, VA, in my apartment, where I'll soon have a kegerator, but others can suggest times and places too. So option 1: Nov 18, Reston, VA.

  6. Started by justin,

Just an interest check to see if anyone would want to attend a meet in Charlottesville, VA. I could rent a mansion in wine country on ~30 acres for less than $200 per night. Events besides headphones/speakers could include getting drunk at a local vineyard, concert (schedules not released yet), Monticello tours, other crap etc. I would think sometime in August or September would be a good time. Local airport: CHO 70 min drive: Richmond (RIC) 2 hour drive Dulles (IAD) --> mass transit is available, but is annoying. Have to take a bus to the suburban metro station, take the metro into DC, transfer to the line for Union Station, and then take Amtrak south. Would…

I am not sure if one wants to keep track of it and maybe even wants to think about joining "the Big One" but here's a link to the thread where we're currently debating...well..certain stuff Netherlands meet - Page 9 - Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio It's covering the talk about 2 meets: A Pre-Party-for-the-unpatient-ones somewhere in the beginning of the year and a "CanJam-Ass-Kicker" (not that that is possible ) but it'll most likely be around May-April.

I'll be out at the show as usual, so anybody that wants a free guest pass, hit me up before Friday Feb 9. If anybody would like to come and hang out either before during or after, let's do it!

Seeing as it looks like I will be moving away from the great state that brought us prohibition, I think it's time to see if there is any interest in a once in a lifetime Oz Fest? Thinking end of October beginning of November or beginning of February. I would normally say (living other places) that the weather might not be that great, but seeing as what there is to do doesn't really change with the weather, those dates are as good as any. Might make outdoors cooking and smoking a bit colder but I think anyone willing to brave coming to Kansas could handle it. As for activities, we have a Oz museum in Wamego, Tall Grass Brewery (small but the owner is super nice), Zoo, W…

I was surprised to see today that Axpona is staying in Chicago for another year, this time at the Westin (which is hopefully a hotel upgrade). Last year John, Marc, Mike, and myself had a hell of a weekend in Chicago (see evidence). I would like to continue this tradition if possible since again, it's an international show that's less than 30 min. from my doorstep. I've already seen an email that this year will include a demo rig from German Physiks worth a cool million USD. http://www.axpona.com/ Anyone in?

http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=245614 This is for anyone here who may not have seen the thread on head-fi. All head-casers of course are invited as well! As it states in the thread I am asking for a $15 contribution to help out with the rental fee for the clubhouse. I would love to have all the Ohio gang and whoever else if your willing to make the drive. Anyone from out of town that needs a place to crash, your more than welcome to crash at my place for the night.

My place in Mountain View (Zipcode 94043). Date decided after much dilly dallying. I'll pass out my address to those who confirm. I will probably post something the week of if we don't have too many people interested.

Anyone up for a New England meet at my place (just outside Concord, NH)? I'm free any weekend in June. First priority to try and accommodate JBLoudG20 since he's bringing my amp. I guess we can go from there. I have quite a bit of gear, all the electrostat stuff listed in my sig.

  17. We may have changed the club name to the Atlanta Audio Club, but our commitment to support Southeastern region headphone enthusiasts is still the same. While we can't do another CanLanta event, we will do a meet at the Dunwoody Driving Club where we met last year. Same location, same time... 12N to 5PM. As usual we'll provide space, tables, power, and refreshments! We invite all who have participated in the past to show us your latest and greatest whether you're from the industry or an enthusiast. We'll find room for everyone to show off your "stuff". If you didn't make it last year, here's another chance!! This meet is open to all, and everyone is welcome, from…

  18. Started by GlendaleViper,

Just a heads up to my fellow GTA-based migrants, it appears there's been some heavy interest in a meet sometime soon. I have put myself out there as organizer if it ends up going anywhere, but there's no way I'm hosting a room of gangly highschool students unless the usual suspects are interested... As usual, I'm in it for the beer and the conversation, so I'm sure we can get something going. Let me know. Cheers, ~Ryan

Audio Expo North America - AXPONA: Home Page For the uninitiated, see the link above for info on Axpona. It's pretty much an audio show that Stereophile is sponsoring in the Jacksonville area. Axpona was actually advertised at RMAF '09 and a couple weeks ago I finally booked my flight. This time I fully intend on doing some touristy stuff in Florida, since I didn't get to do anything touristy the last two times I was there. I take it March should be a good time of year for that? So will anyone else also be there? Anyone know if we could convince these guys to do a headphone display room?

  24. We WILL do our annual meet on MAY 3, 2020 at the Dunwoody North Driving Club (DNDC) where we met last year. Same location, same time... 12N to 5PM. As usual we'll provide space, tables, power, and refreshments! You provide the equipment and extension cords/power strips you need. Everyone is welcome, whether you're from the industry or an enthusiast. We'll find room for everyone to show off your "stuff". If you didn't make it last year, here's another chance!! This meet is open to all, from beginners to veterans of the headphone wars! We guarantee there will be something of interest for everyone. Just getting started??
