Audio Expo North America - AXPONA: Home Page Cool! Nothing like in your backyard.

I haven't noticed the existence of any Manitoba head-casers besides myself, but in case it's relevant to anyone here, there is a meet this Sunday (ie. in three days) in Winnipeg at 2 pm. Saw this mentioned over at Audio Asylum. I'm sure at least a few of the NorCal folks here will probably want to attend. Lots of interesting vendors too: California Audio Show by Dagogo At first I was semi-interested in traveling out for it, but man, whoever picked a location way out in Emeryville needs a smack upside the head. The hotel venue isn't even close to at least the Oakland airport?! The date will probably be a conflict for me anyway, but that is some serious planning ineptitude. Way to kill the incentive for out-of-town travelers.

Not even a thread here in the 'Case for this meet!? Odd given that some illustrious Nor'East members are attending: Salty, Stretch, Nate, Ian (I hope so anyway), Deepak, Ari, Skullguise, voodoochile, others? And now that I am definitely going to be there, I thought I would put out the challenge to any others who might drag ass up to Beantown and turn this into a Travel Team Event. Jeff? Dinny? You guys need a little warm-up before the NYC meet. JP? Dan? Put together a carload from the DC/MD/PA/VA crew and this thing is rockin'! Come on, let's do this!

OK, it's really the West Michigan Meet, but since I'm hosting and 02-20-10 is my birthday, i'll call it what I want. I have it as an IC on the other site but I intend to have the meet either way. It will be at my office in Grandville, MI. Details here (to be updated periodically).

Naples Mini Meet on January 7th, 2010: Ron (HiFlight) and I exchanged a couple of PMs and decided to get together to try each other’s new gear. I am on vacation and going on a trip so I decide to take a small detour to Florida’s west coast and meet with Ron in Naples. Just realized that the biggest beer weekend in Florida is at the same time as that Axpona nonsense. Not sure what hotel it is going to be held at yet but the date is firm and it will be held near SFO (between the towns of San MAteo and Burlingame most likely). Hope to see you there, we'll probably do something either after or the night before in San Francisco as well.

Audio Expo North America - AXPONA: Home Page For the uninitiated, see the link above for info on Axpona. It's pretty much an audio show that Stereophile is sponsoring in the Jacksonville area. Axpona was actually advertised at RMAF '09 and a couple weeks ago I finally booked my flight. This time I fully intend on doing some touristy stuff in Florida, since I didn't get to do anything touristy the last two times I was there. I take it March should be a good time of year for that? So will anyone else also be there? Anyone know if we could convince these guys to do a headphone display room?

So who's going? When are people arriving and leaving? I'm trying to suss out what my best options for flights/dates are. I've got a friend lives in Chicago who I'll be trying to visit which gives a little flex. Is there some kind of masterplan or is everyone just doing their own thing? Hey folks, in just over a month Billy (bhd812) along with the rest of the CanJam 2010 organizing crew will be hosting the third annual ChiUniFi headphone meet at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Chicago, IL. This is the same venue that will be used for CanJam 2010 in Chicago, so this year may feel more like a test run for the big event next summer. So, sorry to the Florida crew, but since I got here first, I thought I would start this thread properly Got here last night at 1130 and had a warm welcome by our host Grawk. Got down to business and broke out the HC Glencairn glasses and toasted to an enjoyable week with some Glenrothes and some Grande Fine Metaxa. The house is beautiful, all the kids and wives have run out to the beach, while me and Dan are on our computers and listening to the Kill Bill soundtrack. Should be a fun week coming up!!

Noon to 5, a few people will be hanging out, should be some interesting gear present.

It's been awhile, SoFla meet? - Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio

Not really sure where to put this, so mods please move it wherever it needs to go. I just caught wind of this thing called the San Diego Record Show on Saturday July 25th. According to yelp and some other sources, they sell records for cheap, including hard to find ones. While I'm not a vinyl guy, I can probably stop buy if there are records people are looking for. Link
