Featured Replies

Not sure if many of you are following this, but it really has a chance to be a historic storm in New England.

Good link to follow: http://www.talkweath...inas-northward/

I hope some of you in the area are stocking up, because this one will be a long ride. Stay safe.

Fingers crossed. Be safe!

No generator here, but did a bunch of non-perishable shopping.....

Good luck to everyone in her path!

The forecasts say its still going to be a 1 when it hits my house :(

Wish me luck.

Wishing everyone luck, including myself.

I'll be realistic -- here's to hoping that the power outages and wind damage is minimal.

Mostly, no broken windows or water leakage.

I'm going to go to bed early (for me) tonight, in hopes of getting to a more-or-less daylight schedule by the time the power outage is only a day or two old.

Oh good, it's headed right for us.

At least I'm 30 minutes away from the coast. I've got provisions too, and a nice noisy generator to bring the sound of the Industrial Revolution to this green, quiet suburban hamlet.

They are saying 1-4" of rain here with ~ 60 mph wind. If stuff is really bad I'll spend Monday night in the hospital...

Starting to rain a bit around here already. Glad I got off my lazy ass and cleaned out my gutters in the morning.

Good luck to those in the hurricane's path, I hope you guys make it out ok.

X2, be safe everyone. we hope all goes better than expected.

What an enormous pain in the ass. Battery Park City evacuated again of course. I sent the Boy and his mother to her mom's but I'm not in any mood to leave. Thinking about adopting a dog and being that guy with the dog...

Just be glad you don't own a car that is parked on the street. Stay safe, post often. azn.gif

Be safe all. Last one that hit us left us without power for about 10 days. Make sure you have propane for your grills. Full up your bathtubs with water to use to flush toilets, in case that becomes an issue.

It's definitely Colin's fault.

I don't blame Colin, but he got out just in time -- I want to know how he knew.

EDIT: Oh, and my sister just let me know she's moving tomorrow. "No big deal, I'll 'rough' it." I just sent her a horrific text of everything we're expecting tomorrow ending with "...I'd postpone..."

Well, at least I don't have to go into work tomorrow as they closed my school.

Good luck everybody. I hope this turns out to be a perfectly civil and courteous storm for you all.
