  • Turns out the damage was a bit more severe than a bad cable. They could still be repaired for less than the cost of a new pair, but not enough less that it seemed worth it. So new Etys are on the way.

  • That's because you're supposed to put them in your ears!

  • So the LCD3 Zebrawood showed back up tonight and I think I just bought a pair. Rob, you get the LCD5 and we'll compare and see if they're worth it, kay?

That's some nice deals going on there.

Southwest Airlines: 50% off roundtrip fares to/from San Francisco Bay area

Today only, Southwest Airlines offers 50% off roundtrip fares to/from San Francisco, Oakland, or San Jose via coupon codes "LUVSFO", "LUVOAK", or "LUVSJC", respectively. It's one of the best fare sales we've seen for these cities from Southwest. Roundtrip "Wanna Get Away" fares must be booked by the end of the day today for travel between May 4 and June 10. Some restrictions and blackout dates apply.

Great way to save money for canjam if you aren't on the magic bus.

that's a seriously good deal! did you post the link and info on headfi too?

^^^

Yup, in its own thread, with a meaningful title (Southwest 50% off for Can Jam from Bay Area - TODAY (4/27) ONLY) to get the word out.

Decent savings indeed!

woot.com has a refurb'ed Philips DVP3962 dvd player for $25 shipped. Upconverts/hdmi out/plays divx.

I'm not sure myself. I have one from the series with a USB in the front. 1.1 however, so at times it lacks the proper throughput, and stutters. Was thinking the usb 2.0 ones might be nice, but seems like an HTPC at times would be much more useful. (as in several times more useful. No need to hook up drive/switch disks/ play more formats/better codec support)

Not sure what I will do with that flight case/box thing but I am sure it will come in handy.

Thanks for sending this. Just picked one up.

As did I. Good fucking deal, thanks much.

Damn, dude. I could use, uh, about half a dozen of those cases. :o

Six for a shade under $100, its still affordable. :) Picked up two, I'm joining a traveling rodeo this summer (actually traveling technology camp).

In a case of perfect timing, I got a half case of wine arrive last week. It came in 2 3bottle styro sleeves. Perfect for getting booze in a small suitcase :)

Shat!!! Had I thought of that I would have ordered three of those. :palm: Now a way to safely transporting booze is something I have a real and compelling need for.

Seems that there are some new discount coupons at Newark, I'm not sure how many of you regularly use these. This is one of the better ones I've seen. Coupon code is WR0509 and it's valid online for 25% off.

I know there are a few people here into cooking and quality chef knives.

Medium/Nakato

The Togiharu is a good middle of the road double sided stone. Further down is the #6000 Mizuyama will put a very nice polish on your Gyutou.
