July 2, 201312 yr Thanks, it's remarkable how much better I feel without that damn thing inside me. And yes, the offending object was captured and will be turned into the doc today for further study (if necessary). Despite the lithotripsy the stone appears to have come out nearly whole. I took some quick measurements (turn away if you're squeemish) and it's a little over 1/4" (~6.5mm) long and at it's widest about 5/32" (4mm) in diameter. Not small. Lesson - I will be drinking a lot more water for the foreseeable future.
July 2, 201312 yr Lordy, that's a big stone! OOOOOOOuuch!!!!!! Set it in acrylic and put it on your desk. Edited July 2, 201312 yr by jvlgato
July 2, 201312 yr Pretty big stone, it's not surprising you were in such pain. Nate, not only drinking a lot of water, also some diet measures could be advisable depending on the stone composition. Take care
July 2, 201312 yr Feel better Nate. Here is to a day of great views: Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
July 2, 201312 yr Those views do look nice, Mike. I can't wait to take a semi-vacation in a couple of weeks. I don't get to take the whole week off (change of command at work) but will be off most of the week thankfully.
July 2, 201312 yr ^^^ Yup, very nice scenery up there, Mike. Happy hiking, and don't fall down to those treetops. Nate, you are lucky to have so much beautiful country nearby. Hope you get out to enjoy it this week.
July 3, 201312 yr I took some quick measurements (turn away if you're squeemish) and it's a little over 1/4" (~6.5mm) long and at it's widest about 5/32" (4mm) in diameter. Not small. Eeeewwwww. Glad that's outta you!
July 3, 201312 yr Define "not superloud". Safe levels are in the 80-85 dB for listening sessions of more than 4 hours. This assuming occasional peaks well under 95-100dB. The good ting about these loudness wars and compressed music is that you don't have to worry about the peaks anymore
July 3, 201312 yr I have a similar condition, Jacob. I've noticed that cans having "heavy" bass are more prone to excite the tinnitus. The HD 800 aren't one of them. Just use lower listening levels and you should be fine. Leave it more at 80dB. Of course not using the cans at all is safer
July 3, 201312 yr Until the neighbors complain or the wife asks for a break. Any of both happens in a few minutes, so no danger for the ears. Edited July 3, 201312 yr by Torpedo
July 3, 201312 yr ^^^ seconds for me before the complaints come! Jacob, hope it goes away soon, and Nate....well, glad THAT'S out!
July 4, 201312 yr Tried to see my town's Fourth of July parade. We cut it real short since it was entirely too hot.
July 5, 201312 yr Last night in Canada (Quebec). There is a big festival going on here, started today. Saw a tiny bit of music, braved a lot of wandering crowds (chaotic a la Japan), and had a nice dinner. We also went today to an island outside of Quebec City and some falls that are higher than Niagara (but much narrower). Exhausted now, back at hotel in the AC and ready to relax. Back to USA tomorrow, one night in Burlington VT than home again.....
