Fuck, all the above and more, Larry.  Rest well, heal well, and just get through this day by day.  Best to you and your daughter!

Wow, nothing more to say other than what has been said already. Hoping for your speedy recoveries!

Damn. Wow, good luck with your recovery. You'll be in our prayers. ..

Wow Lary, sorry to hear this :(

Glad it did not turn out worse for you & family.

Sorry to hear about this. Horrible timing too with the holidays. Stay strong and Happy Holidays!

Holy shit!

Lucky to be alive and posting here today!

Holy shit, Larry. Glad you're still on this side of the grass, and I hope everyone recovers as quickly and completely as possible.

Another holy shit! Glad you guys are still around. That is crazy. All the good thoughts your (and family) way.

Holy shit!

Lucky to be alive and posting here today!

And again.  Be well.

That's awful and terrifying Larry!  I hope you and your daughter get better asap.

Sorry Larry and good luck and good vibes your way.

Sorry Larry. Fingers crossed for you and your daughter that the recovery is smooth.

I'm out of surgery, and all drugged up. Put a rod in my left femur tonight.

In two or three days will have to operate on my left broken ankle, and my broken right knee cap. They tell me my daughter just got out of surgery, and she will need a second operation too.

I'm drifting off to sleep - will update you guys later. They can't do anything about the four broken ribs.

Peace

PS, pray that my daughters semester abroad will let her go in a wheelchair, or they will refund the $25,000 out-of-pocket that we paid for it!

Pray that with her fibromyalgia, that she still be able to walk better than before.

One day at a time, Larry, just you and your daughter keep getting better

Thankful you survived.  Thankful they can help you heal.  You can worry about the semester abroad at a more appropriate time.  Step by step to recovery.  Heal well, heal fast.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Larry. Look at it from the bright side, your car saved your lives, at that speed it could have been worse, way worse. Don't worry about the semester, nothing matters more than your and your daughter's health. Take it easy, it will take its time, but you'll get well. I hope so :)

I have a tough time getting up early too, but the job seems to have a lot of things to like. Those 88 hours are per year, so less than 10 vacation days?

If you're anything like me, don't worry too much about the hours.

I was a total night owl too. In fact my friends got a license plate frame that said "Not B4 Noon".

I took a job that started at 6:30am and I really thought that I'd never get used to it. I did fairly quickly and grew to prefer it (very little traffic either way, got a jump on the crowd when I went to the store etc).

In fact, after a couple of years, I was given a choice and I compromised by starting at 7.
