Meets

As far as I know I'm the only Manitoban posting on HC, but in case anyone is going to be in the area, we have a small Winnipeg group from the other forum who meet up semi-regularly for food and gear. The next one is Sept. 27. If you're interested, either post here or in the Winnipeg meet thread on HF, or PM me or whatever.

This is aimed at jpizzle, and nate: Would one of you be willing to host a meet for the three of us, as suggested in another thread? The weekend that was looking the best, was that of August 11-12. Would we all be able to make it then?

We may have changed the club name to the Atlanta Audio Club, but our commitment to support Southeastern region headphone enthusiasts is still the same. While we can't do another CanLanta event, we will do a meet at the Dunwoody Driving Club where we met last year. Same location, same time... 12N to 5PM. As usual we'll provide space, tables, power, and refreshments! We invite all who have participated in the past to show us your latest and greatest whether you're from the industry or an enthusiast. This year's burning amp is this Saturday the 17th in Redwood City. http://www.burningamp.org I'm going to try and go. It is always fun to see what the DIY community has cooking. Is there anyone else who is planning on going?

Since Colin has been gracious enough to let me crash at his place, I'll be in the NYC area from the 7th to the 12th for a couple concerts (7th and 10th). If any NYC area HCers are gonna be free and want to meet up for drinks or food or whatever, let me know and we'll make it happen.

I booked a room for our next meet. The room can hold up to 75 people. So, this is the thread to coordinate our "pre meet" activities. John can tell us when the setup activities should be done, and then we can figure out what we're gonna do afterward. Dinner, drinks, music, whatever. I'd prefer to keep it low key, a chance to get to know all you crazy bastards. I just thought I would throw this one up as a reminder. This is a private meet following the debacle with the Cinci meet. Tkam, edipisreks, Vern, grandenigma1 and possibly nmculbreth will be coming. Hey folks, in just over a month Billy (bhd812) along with the rest of the CanJam 2010 organizing crew will be hosting the third annual ChiUniFi headphone meet at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Chicago, IL. This is the same venue that will be used for CanJam 2010 in Chicago, so this year may feel more like a test run for the big event next summer. Hey guys, just wanted to let y'all know that there's going to be another meet in Nashville, this time on September 20th. I'll post the link to the HF thread (I know, grumble grumble) below. Last one was pretty great, really good people even with the low attendance (first guy who tried to set it up was abducted by aliens or some such and caused a bunch of people not to be able to attend). Saw this mentioned over at Audio Asylum. I'm sure at least a few of the NorCal folks here will probably want to attend. Lots of interesting vendors too: California Audio Show by Dagogo At first I was semi-interested in traveling out for it, but man, whoever picked a location way out in Emeryville needs a smack upside the head. The hotel venue isn't even close to at least the Oakland airport?! The date will probably be a conflict for me anyway, but that is some serious planning ineptitude. Way to kill the incentive for out-of-town travelers.
