I was surprised to see today that Axpona is staying in Chicago for another year, this time at the Westin (which is hopefully a hotel upgrade). Last year John, Marc, Mike, and myself had a hell of a weekend in Chicago (see evidence). I would like to continue this tradition if possible since again, it's an international show that's less than 30 min. from my doorstep. I've already seen an email that this year will include a demo rig from German Physiks worth a cool million USD. http://www.axpona.com/ Anyone in?

I haven't noticed the existence of any Manitoba head-casers besides myself, but in case it's relevant to anyone here, there is a meet this Sunday (ie. in three days) in Winnipeg at 2 pm. Just thought I'd give you So Cal folks a heads up. This year the Audio Engineering Society's big US convention is happening at the LA Convention Center. If you move fast (the deadline is tomorrow) you can still register for an exhibit hall pass for free. I'm not sure how much they'll charge at the event but it's usually not very much. Anyway, even though there won't be much in the way of headphones and headphone gear, if you'd like to see how the other half lives and the kinda stuff we like to drool over, check it out. We WILL do our annual meet on MAY 3, 2020 at the Dunwoody North Driving Club (DNDC) where we met last year. Same location, same time... 12N to 5PM. So, sorry to the Florida crew, but since I got here first, I thought I would start this thread properly Got here last night at 1130 and had a warm welcome by our host Grawk. Got down to business and broke out the HC Glencairn glasses and toasted to an enjoyable week with some Glenrothes and some Grande Fine Metaxa. The house is beautiful, all the kids and wives have run out to the beach, while me and Dan are on our computers and listening to the Kill Bill soundtrack. Should be a fun week coming up!!

As it states in the thread I am asking for a $15 contribution to help out with the rental fee for the clubhouse. Tampa Winter Meet will be the weekend of 12/10-12 So, we're throwing around dates, and it seems like the weekend of December 3/4/5 is the least offensive to the parties that matter. That being the case, I hereby declare that there WILL be a Florida meet (Team Florida attendance is mandatory to maintain gold status) the weekend of December 3, 4, 5, 2010. Early arrivals and late departures are encouraged and expected. Where - Tampa ... any out of towners can book flights to TPA, and we will accommodate you.
