I saw that there is a gathering HC fantasy FB thang, but I didn't chime in because I'm ignorant about Football (ok, and most other things). The only sport that I know anything about (besides synchronized swimming) is NHL Hockey. So I thought I'd just throw it out there. Any interest in a Fantasy Hockey League? I've never participated in a Fantasy anything, that is unless you count Crush Videos (it took me a minute to think of something really bizarre). But I'd be game.

Do we have an HC fantasy hockey league? If not, any interest? If yes, I could play with you?

Thought I'd start a dedicated F1 thread. Watching F1 Countdown. NBCSP's first GP programing. So far,.. Loved to see that Will is back in the pits. But, talk about a big shiny studio! (maybe too big for just 3 guys) So, it looks like the money is flowing pretty well. Looking forward to Australia coming up!

Because dammit, we need a current NBA thread. It looks like there is going to be a pair of awesome games tonight. I'm really looking forward to seeing how LeBron and Kyrie respond to a little adversity. It is crazy that every singe one of the home teams in round two has already dropped a game at home. If the Cavs go down two games I'm officially worried for them. As for Houston, if they can't beat LAC without CP3 in the lineup then they are toast. Thank god for having a DVR! should be some outstanding games.

Any interest in setting up a head-case fantasy football league? I'd likely just create a league through espn's fantasy football unless someone has a better idea.

I thought we should start a thread of just NFL news, comments, insights, opinions, and team fanfare. I'll start off. The Niners this week has finally beat the Seahawks at their home turf. Last year it was miserable with them scoring just 3 points total in their two meetings. This year the offense is much improved with Mike Martz out there commanding and leading the troops down the field. Also with the addition of J T O'Sullivan as quarterback in the mix has been a blessing. The ball gets there as soon as the receivers are breaking. Well, my new home team didn't quite make it last night. Duke was really in control, making the Heels play by their rules....plus Paulus kept nailing all those 3-pointers. Anyone else see the game. We'll get them at the end of the season when we play at Duke!

Getting ahead of the season with something a bit different. I think Subban is a total dick on the ice but this was quite something: $10 million donation to the Montreal Children's Hospital. Meanwhile, one of our Chicago studs is figuring out how much cash he'll need to pay the woman he may/may not have raped... At least the hawks re-signed Marcus Kruger. My faith in the 4th line is restored.

I was wondering what the masses thought about this. I was listening on the radio this morning and the talk show host was explaining why he felt instant replay would be good for baseball. Granted I'm not a baseball fan, but I do watch the playoffs. He brought up examples like when Mark McGwire was going for his home run record and he recalled there was an instance when a ball was called foul, but after the replay it clearly was a home run. Also, I guess there was a play in the Rockies vs Padres game it should've been a home run but ruled a double that he mentioned? I didn't see that game, but I wish I did. They are completely emasculated at this point, no balls and no heart. They played one of the worst games against a team with a dirtbag who ended the Bruins' best player's season, maybe longer.... They really needed to show unity, toughness, and demand respect from a team that basically walked over them tonight. Turn them over....they are done.... Bummed in MA.

...Begins tomorrow. Yay for my favorite three weeks of sports for the year . Anyone confident in their bracket/s? Imo far tougher this year than last. My final four is Kansas, Kansas State (over 'cuse in elite 8 ), Duke (easiest pick of the four), and West Virginia (toss up over UK in elite 8, this is the year for wv if they're going to get close).

Anybody keeping up with the games? I didn't fill out a bracket this year. I'm loving every Butler game thus far, although it's sad to see BYU getting knocked out by Florida. Watching UConn advance to the elite eight is great news for new england schools considering the lack thereof in the tournament overall. Jimmer or Kemba, who's the better PG?
