January 25, 20179 yr RIP MTM. A big part of my youth. Sad. RIP Butch. 69 is a cool age for a rock and roll drummer to die, but too young. Fuck 2017, indeed.
January 25, 20179 yr Mary Tyler Moore. Goddamnit. Her core career was as bit before my time, but I certainly caught a lot of it in re-runs.
January 26, 20179 yr You sure forget the decades passing - I well remember the Mary Tyler Moore show broadcast in the UK back when I was a lad. RIP MTM
January 26, 20179 yr RIP Maggie Roche. RIP Max Wilcox. RIP Butch Trucks. And especially RIP Mary Tyler Moore.
January 26, 20179 yr Wow...I had not heard that theme song in a good long while. Major flashbacks to my formative years. RIP, MTM...you will be missed! RIP Maggie and Butch. Not much of a pause from 2016... HS
January 26, 20179 yr I miss the MTM show, Bob Newhart show, Carol Bernett show... I won't say those were better times, but they had a lot to do with my youth, and fond memories of laughing along with my family.
January 27, 20179 yr I laughed pretty hard while watching Tim Conway on the Carol Burnett Show, so cheers to that!
January 28, 20179 yr Oh noes! Always been a fan of his work, especially Alien and "I, Claudius." RIP Edited January 28, 20179 yr by TMoney
January 28, 20179 yr Oh, man....RIP Mr. Hurt. I see 2017 wants to continue the prior year's tradition
January 28, 20179 yr RIP Sir John Hurt. The Elephant Man had a big impact on my life (@ 10 years old).
January 28, 20179 yr Oh my - that is bad news. RIP John Hurt. Was lucky enough to see him on stage with Harriet Walter Penelope Wilton in something by Chekov (it was a weird fusion of two plays) about ten years ago. Edit it was fifteen years ago; the date of the review does not lie https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2002/sep/20/theatre.artsfeatures2 Edited January 28, 20179 yr by Craig Sawyers

He was a bright spot in everything he was in, from the sublime to the schlocky. He was one of my favorite actors, and I'll miss him a lot. It always put a smile on my face when he popped up in something I wasn't expecting him in.
January 28, 20179 yr I had forgot that that was him in The Elephant Man. Amazing performance and an amazing career overall.
