Went to work - talked briefly with my boss about my upcoming promotion as well as the transition plan for the person taking over my current position.

I'm back home now and just finished setting up my two MC2100's as monoblocks.

Untangled, sorted and cable tied, and filed away hundreds of cables tangled up in boxes and drawers. Found my Dreamcast A/V cable in the process.

Did a similar thing with several boxes full of unfiled paper. Used many staples, punched many holes. Need more ring binders.

Thats what I get for leaving our living room shades open..................
Your room needs some color. Can't even tell where the floor stops and the wall starts.

(I think my piano teacher of 10 years had that same piano.)

Signed the contract and put down a deposit on a season lease site for camping next year.

Spent the day at Huntington Beach, CA with the wife and kids

Soup Day, starting last night. Big pot of homemade lentil and ham soup starting with sorting, cleaning and soaking the lentils. Clean down the hambone, which goes into the pressure cooker with the lentils, the herbs and spice. Puree the lentils after pulling the hambone and the bay leaves. Prep all the ham, carrot, onions, and celery and sweat them down in some EVOO in the bottom of the big stock pot. Then it's everybody back into the hot tub with some chicken broth. Hot crusty bread. Glass of cab. Delish.

Seven quarts more lentil soup in the freezer; priceless. :D

Went to Central Park to listen to the NY Philharmonic. It was just too damn humid so I left around 9:30. Perfect timing as it started to rain just as I was getting out of the park. Went to grab dinner and some drinks with friends and now I'm home. Listening to some tunes and relaxing.

Took care of my cousin. She just turned 21. =[

Worked on notes for opening statement.

How about:

"Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, my client really screwed up. Please have mercy."

Planted two hydrangeas in the front yard. The process took a whole longer than expected since I kept finding large rocks that I had to dig out.

Friends came over. The kids all swam. We drank beer. Kids will shortly visit Uncle Pixar while we grill and start on the wine. Ah, summer. :)

Wrote, wrote, wrote, cursed a lot, smoked, submitted a paper.

All in all, this is about the best day a student can have.

Now I might go for a jog with Lily.

You can keep up with her? :)

Looooooong drive back from a friend's bachelor party weekend, white water rafting the Kennebec and paintball. It was a lot of fun, and now I need another weekend to recover from my weekend!
