Hurray, we bought another title!

I thought we should start a thread of just NFL news, comments, insights, opinions, and team fanfare. I'll start off. The Niners this week has finally beat the Seahawks at their home turf. Last year it was miserable with them scoring just 3 points total in their two meetings. This year the offense is much improved with Mike Martz out there commanding and leading the troops down the field. Also with the addition of J T O'Sullivan as quarterback in the mix has been a blessing. The ball gets there as soon as the receivers are breaking. In the past the receiver would have to wait after they are done with their route for the ball to get there at times. I'm just hap…

So hockey is starting back. Training camp has begun. I'm heading to the preseason opener for the capitals down in raleigh on weds. It's a sickness. I'm really looking forward to the caps opener in Atlanta. I wish I could go down for that one as well, and tip a few back with Mr Hankins. I even watched the rookie game between the caps and the flyers...

I'm watching the high quality stream online (all the streaming is via silverlight) and I'm extremely impressed with the quality. It's probably the best quality stream I've ever seen. Now I just have to keep an eye out for some good games

Yesterday the team from Hawaii overcame a 5 to 1 deficit in the top of the sixth to win 7 - 5 to make it to the title match against Mexico. They were the underdogs against favored Mexico, but won 12 - 3. Just wanted to say congratulations to the boys from Waipio representing my home town . Iolana Akau made this diving catch while playing with a hairline fracture of his left elbow and homered today.

Since most people here are proud Americans, I assume that no one is watching the Olympics The Opening Ceremonies were just phenomenal and watching Phelps do his thing is just amazing. or are we all waiting for the new football season to start?

Damn, I love hockey. Even more when the Canadiens are winning like this season. Seriously, I think no other sport beats hockey on television. Fast action, solid physical contacts, intelligent plays, etc. I don't understand why you Americans don't love it as we do in Canada. Football rules, but why the hell is baseball more popular than hockey? Watching baseball on TV is as exciting as watching plants grow... So, any hockey fans out there?

Well, my new home team didn't quite make it last night. Duke was really in control, making the Heels play by their rules....plus Paulus kept nailing all those 3-pointers. Anyone else see the game. We'll get them at the end of the season when we play at Duke!

Believe it, the Giants can take it all the way, defeated all the odds, and have an honest chance of taking down the "perfect team". Every time the Giants are supposed to lose, they won... They suck, had a spineless quarterback, and are a "dirty team" according to some packers players? Will the media still be talking all this trash about the giants tommorow morning? I'm loving it... As a Jets fan, i'm really pulling to see the Giants clean up the Patriots, and this has probably got to be an awesome battle of a superbowl. I'm psyched.

Well, the Bucs made history today. They've never ran a kick-off back for a touchdown until today. Michael Spurlock was the guy to do it. I've been following the bucs since 1982 when John McCay was the coach and they were so bad that the fans wore bags over their heads. Congratulations to Michael Spurlock! And to the Bucs for cinching the NFC southern conference title.

The Mitchell Report is going to be released in about 20 min or so. It's already leaked out that Roger Clemens will be named and it's expected to name anywhere from 50-80 additional players.

Both Mizzou and WVU are losing right now. What a mess the BCS will be if they both end up going down. God I love college football
