God I hate installing carts Managed not to blow anything up, as the pass ono requires opening the top to access the MC settings and add a jumper for setting gain 🤦♂️ at least the cart was pretty easy to install due to threaded mounting holes and the cart pins actually lining up directly with the headshell pins. gratuitous doggie pics!3 points

Jerry Harvey Audio is releasing a universal fit version of their JIMI custom IEM, limited to 200pcs, and offering it exclusively to dealers (HeadAmp is one). We have some on the way, and some black shelled demo pairs as well. The shells are are also smaller than JH's previous generation of universal fit earphones. https://www.headamp.com/products/jh-jimi-aion From Jerry Harvey Audio:1 point

In for sample pair. I tried out the bass adjustment cable at RMAF after VPI mentioned liking it on a pair of his JH customs. I definitely think it has its place, and like Justin, I think it's useful. I know we all want "the most accurate reproduction possible" and blah blah blah. That's going to be subjective, I'd say, unless we were actually the ones recording it, but I'm more into "I just want something that's fun and sounds good" these days, and if you have something that can blur those lines depending on mood, I'm all for it.1 point

Didn't you read the JH marketing quote above? The sound is: warm neutral analog All at the same time! 🥴1 point

Another Dynahi lives. Sigh... Heatsinks are never enough.1 point

I agree, those are very nice indeed. Could be old stock but I doubt it. Most likely Stax just enjoy messing with us...1 point

This 007 appears to be brand new despite the scruffy case wrapping. It sounds and feels really nice. All is great.1 point

Good point so the empty warranty card points to a Japanese unit and the sellers who export never fill out the warranty cards.1 point

Stax serial numbers are in constant flux so no idea really. SZ2 and SZ3's were being sold right back in 2008 so could very well be. The dealer is supposed to fill out the warranty card but some don't do it.1 point

for me I have set the bass control once where I liked it and then left it alone, and have found it to be a useful feature. I'm going to be getting a couple plain black sample pairs that could be passed around (with proper cleaning) if anyone wants to try them1 point

Looks great! I recently added a K&K Step Up trafo to my own Delos. I liked this cart before, but now it's even closer to that spooky realism you hear about. Dee-lish.1 point

While I'm personally partial to the soundtracks for the Clint Eastwood movies, few pieces of music get the emotions going like Mr. Morricone's Cinema Paradiso score. RIP.1 point

Still working my way through this one. About half way through. Definitely not a one sitting listen.1 point

No, they both go off screen, but I have to admit, I had to double-check. I didn't really like the emptiness of the blonde's playing, but at least she wasn't shredding like so many of them Yngwie Malmsteen wannabes. Sapphire Ng is actually pretty good, although I think she's more famous as a model who happens to play guitar, rather than a guitarist who happens to model: And most of her videos just make me wonder what she's like in bed:1 point
