Martin Landau.  Time for another viewing of Ed Wood (it would have been anyway, as I watch it annually).

RIP, Martin.

Landau was brilliant as Bela Lugosi in Ed Wood.

RIP Mr. Landau.  You carried Mission Impossible and were the main reason I tuned in every week.  Well you and your wife, Barbara Bain, of course.

RIP, Martin.  MI during my formative years...could not get enough.  That theme song and your face will be emblazoned on this aging man's psyche until the cells give out...

RIP Martin Landau!

Loved that guy! Maybe my favorite was his role in Tucker!

RIP Martin Landau.

I remember watching him as a kid on the Mission Impossible show with Matt Dillon's younger Brother.

If you didn't see him in 2015's Remember, go see it!

Rip to Mr. Landau and Mr. Romero.

Landau had so many great roles its hard to keep track while Romero's "Dead" trilogy is maybe my favorite horror series of all time.

RIP Martin Landau. Too many to mention.

This.....RIP......

RIP Chester Bennington....my son just told me he was very friendly with Chris Cornell, and today is actually CC's birthday....:(

RIP Daliah Lavi - actress, singer, passed away at 74 years of age on May 4, 2017.

This clip from the original 1967 Casino Royale was just about the sexiest thing I'd ever seen during my young, formative years:

I have no idea if she was particularly talented otherwise. But the fact that I came across this news on a somewhat random web-search, & seeing that she had passed away recently with little, if any (that I saw) fanfare made me a little melancholy.

I had a small breakdown yesterday. LP helped me through some teenage drugs problems I had. Fucking hurts like hell even after so many years. I like to believe that I would be different today had he not shared his own pain through their music.

While I'm certain that I could recognize a Linkin Park song if I heard it, I could not name one. But without a doubt, Rod Stewart's The Killing of Gorgie got me through some very tough times. Music is a very powerful force!

RIP Chester Bennington

I told my son and daughter about Chester Bennington, and talked to my son today on the phone. His take was that yes, it was a real tragedy but he was not really surprised; he said "in hindsight, listening to some recent Linkin Park last night, Bennington was pretty anguished". And apparently a good friend of his in another band (Chris Cornell) killed himself in the same way (by hanging) in May, which may have been a major contributing factor.

RIP, Mr. Bennington.  Hope you're in a better place...
